This school is a good school with poor administration. The change in administration completely changed the direction of this school which is evident in the comments based on the dates. When my son started in PreK and Kindergarten it was great but the principal left and the current one is very condescending and rude to parents as well as the students. It’s a global school but administration definitely treat the students differently based on race! I have contacted the school superintendent regarding these school practices. Hopefully they will have a new principal next year but if not my children will not return.

This schools seems good until your kid(s) have issue(s). They promote a lot of great ideas of positive behavior but do not stay consistent with all students and/or listen to concerns.

The teachers were great, and the counselors amazing. The nurse handled Covid extremely well and I'm thankful for their continued help.

Please disregard the outdated test score information published by this site. Efland-Cheeks Global Elementary experienced high levels of growth during the 2015-16 school year. Efland-Cheeks is a fantastic school with excellent teachers! My child loves school. She was a struggling reader at the beginning of the year. Now she is above grade level. I love the office staff and administration. Your website doesn't have the most up to date test scores. This school has made tons of changes and the test scores show it.

I found the teachers to be very professional and knowledgable. It is clear that they have a true passion for teaching as well as a true love for their students.

Efland-Cheeks is a fantastic school with a family atmosphere. The teachers, staff, and administrators work hard to support students and parents. We love Efland and our kids are doing very well here.

I will be pulling my 2 children from this school. I am completely unsatisfied with all the changes that were made this year. Every single person that my child had a great relationship with has left. My child needs a little extra guidance with his adhd, and we was getting great help. His new teacher is awesome for him, and the school "counselor" works well with the teacher. However, the school administration, is horrible. They never even listen to his side of the story, someone hit him on the bus, and then told the bus driver that he hit them. A 5th grader tried to tell them she saw everything, but they just dismissed her, and took the other kid's word. Not once did they fully listen to him about what happened, and he got suspended from the bus, while the other child was not. There have been too many phone calls from the school, for the smallest thing. We as his parents feel he has now been labeled as a "problem kid". I am heartbroken that his school experience has be tainted so badly. His 1st grade was the worst yet. That teacher is now "retired", but, the damage is done for his excitement to learn. Hopefully a new school will bring that back.

I am planing to switch the school for my child. There are very few great teachers that we will miss. The school does not care about my child. That is what we,as parents, have felt.

My daughter has been here for two years and it really is a gem of a school. All the teachers and staff are so incredibly kind and dedicated to the welfare of the students. They took immediate action with a bullying situation and handled it exceptionally well. This is the principal's second year and her enthusiasm for the school and the students is contagious. I am so glad for Efland-Cheeks!

Absolutely amazing things are happening at this school. We have two children who have absolutely blossomed here.. School is comprised of many excellent teachers of which a good number of them have earned their masters or higher. Proud of ECE!. Proud of the administration as they are truly dedicated professionals that have put our children first.
