My child did very well at school after transferring from a Charlotte area charter school.

My experience was horrendous at this dungeon. I'm not talking about doing my work and complaining. No, students have NO safety here, there are student's being jumped everyday and getting away with it, but if you defend yourself, your punished. I used to be a student here, but was assaulted in the wrestling shower room, and had to go to the hospital...I was the one who got kicked out, while they left the other student there with no punishment. That principal is still active here. There's many reasons why he kept relocating school.

I am not too happy with this school, I have come to this school to pick my child up countless times and it always smells bad. everyone at the front desk is rude and have no personality. this school does not seem like the place to be. my child also does not like the school because of how run down the place looks and how things are taken care of and handled.

BUYERS beware! Before you flock to Hillsborough with your school aged children hoping for a slice of the good life and great schools! Our elder son was a stand out student athlete for four years at this school. Our experience with the school is that there is NO accountable for administrators and teachers. Poor academic quality and unsafe and unsatisfactory conditions on the sports teams. Our son went to college woefully unprepared for a rigorous science and engineering curriculum (out of state). He was advised he wasn't smart enough to attend UNC CH by his advisors...Instead he was a standout student athlete at a small, prestigious school out of state and is now a PhD candidate in science and engineering at a GREAT school in UVA. No thanks to Orange County schools. I deeply regret having my children in these schools. Good luck if you make the mistake of living in this town and going to this school. We acknowledged that our experience doesn't represent everyone's experience...Unfortunately, it probably represents too many...

Orange High School offers a great "slice of life" experience. With it's widely multi-cultural experience, students learn to work with all kinds of diverse opinions and backgrounds, which is great training for the real world. Several students have graduated in the past 2-3 years and have gone on to stellar college careers at Ivy League Schools. Orange has all you need to excel and succeed at the next level...it all depends on how you tap into it.
