My kid loved this school in 2nd and 3rd grade. He had an excellent, seasoned teacher in 2nd and a brand new teacher in 3rd and loved them both and made good friends. He entered 2nd grade a bit behind in reading and ended 3rd grade as a top reading and math student. The school welcomes family before the school year, at fall and spring festivals and has other special events, such as when the kids could be in the Paperhand Puppet parade. My kid got to participate in drumming in music class, made a ceramic soap dish as one of the art projects and really enjoyed Spanish class as well. I like the diversity in the school, the school grounds are safe and the teachers seem to really care about the students. The kids are learning and are cared for during the day, which is all I could ask for.

this school is a disgrace to the world of academics. The few teachers that actually taught me at this school were the ones with the least experience and were treated the worst. The school had little to no "social emotional support" for students and failed to support students who were falling behind or excelling at the work provided. It had very poor support for classes outside of the main four classes, and most days the "learning" that happened n these classes were nothing but sitting down of sleeping, the music class was the worst, every day we did nothing but watch music videos on the projector, however I will admit that recess and lunch time was a good experience for me.

My children have been going to this school since pre-k and I have given chance after chance for them to up their game and actually care for not only my kids but the student body in general. They will not offer your child help what so ever unless you go show your tail with them, and then it's only offered at the last minute when school is almost over. My oldest child literally had all 1's on her report card, I received no warning call no nothing that she was even falling behind. They did not offer her help until I spent a month going back and fourth ranting to them and threatened to turn them into the school board, help was then offered in late January almost February. My son is way behind in reading and help has yet to be given to him! ALL of my parent friends have removed their children from this school for the same reasons and I now am doing the same! Lucky enough my daughter is now heading to middle school so I don't have to switch her but my son will be switched! I do not recommend this school to anyone!

Great school. Great staff, the kids have learned so much since attending Central. My kids first attended Grady A Brown and I was worried this school would not be as good but they are wonderful and we are very happy!
