Orange Middle School is a great school and has great teachers. I love this school. However, bullying and teasing are high in student behaviors. Some students are really rude to people with disabilities and I know that about half of my class disrespects the hardworking teachers during class. The school needs to be better at stopping the teasing and bullying rather than just watching it happen and doing nothing. Overall, I do recommend this school as long as the child going to this school is social, however, the behavior of the students can shape the child to be stressed and obsessed with their phone. I don't know if it's just this school or this generation, but these students need a long talk to change their behavior.

I love this school! I am a student and I think the teacher are wonderful. They give time to answer every question and most are very kind. The guidance counselors are wonderful and the principals/vice principals are very active with the school. It has great academics and wonderful advanced programs. The athletics are superb but they make sure grades come first. I would definitely recommend this school to anyone.

This school has above average NC Report Card scores - a School of Distinction. I don't know of any other public middle school that offers as much Christian support as this school. I believe that is one reason why the acts of crime/violence are so low for this school. Where government has worked hard to remove religion from the schools, a group of strong Christians has worked harder to incorporate it within the school - before or after school hours. During FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) on Wednesday mornings (before school), the media center is full with no empty chairs - all students are invited, not just athletes. On other weekdays, there are multiple small group Bible study groups for boys and others for girls. These small groups are available for anyone interested, offering Bible study for an hour before school - what a great way to begin the school day. I am thank for the strong Christian teachers at this school that not only care about teaching the students academics but more importantly care about their hearts.
