- Submitted by other on May 14, 2023DCA was one of the worst experiences I have ever endured. If you try and go your own path and be independent, you will be reprimanded for doing so. For example, as a senior in high school at DCA, I did not have an elective the first period; however, my mother worked as a teacher there and had a class the first period. The principal found me and threatened me if I was seen on school property (even sitting in an empty room working on homework) before my first period, that I would not be able to graduate. In addition, when the principal found gum on a table, she brought it in front of the whole school and said she was going to do a DNA test because nobody would own up to it. Numerous events have happened like this time and time again. Putting her hands physically on me, searching my backpack (because she heard I had headphones in my backpack), and was threatening in all areas. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL. It is an automatic signup for years and years of counseling
