Went to Hebron for a while, absolutely horrible.I was bullied relentlessly and teachers did nothing about it, the elementary is fine but the upper school is horrendous. It completely destroyed my mental health, and nobody helped me… I got encouraged to harm myself and terrible words were hurled at me including slurs. There were multiple times I heard people being racist and sexist, as well as rape threats being used against a friend of mine not to mention the blatant ableism. They do not care about the children here… they are too lazy to manage the bullying. Everything else is rather alright other than (some) teachers who once more couldn’t care less, but again, the bullying is out of control. If your child is in middle school or going into it, don’t send them here. It’s an unsafe environment for your children mentally and they don’t do anything about it. I am speaking from experience of someone who used to go here.

Hebron is a wonderful, Christ-centered community with a supportive administration, involved students, and engaged parents. The kids are pretty happy as a whole (with a few exceptions, of course), and athletic participation is very high. There is roughly a 50/50 honors/CP mix, with a solid offering of academic electives in everything from philosophy to business to computer science, as well as a very strong fine arts program. Upperclassmen have a range of AP course options and dual enrollment opportunities, and many of these AP classes are small and focused giving the kids plenty of opportunity to excel. The core classes are of average size, but with roughly a hundred students per grade level, all the teachers get to know all of the kids in their grade and frequently provide one on one support after hours. The students are well prepared for college and go everywhere from Harvard to Kennesaw State. The distinctives of Hebron are really in the character of the school. The Christian focus is not a bolt on - faculty are regularly praying for students and for each other, the gospel is discussed with enthusiasm, and administration continuously pushes for ensuring the spiritual wellbeing of the student body. The unity within the school is palpable, and the mutual respect between teachers, administration, and parent volunteers is very high, and unique. While there are always some issues (kids teasing each other, or a new teacher struggling to align to content standards, or a logistics problem), they are resolved quickly by the administration with humility, grace, and transparency. Hebron is a wonderful educational bubble - free from the poison of modern secular education. Biblical ethics, administered with grace and compassion, help keep the students on the straight and narrow while simultaneously encouraging them to push forward academically and socially. This is truly a wonderful place to serve kids as they grow into God fearing young men and women.

Horrible school. Administration lies and manipulates what they tell you. I have too many examples of the nightmare we endured in the upper school. Money talks and christian values are not even remotely upheld. Love your kids enough to not enroll them in this school.

I have been going to Hebron for 2 years now. While most of the teachers know what they are doing and give out good amounts of homework, the school environment is horrible. Within my first year of attending, I was bullied for my political beliefs and sexuality. Now being my second year, I hear racist comments daily. Another issue is how Hebron handles corona. While they say they require masks outside the classroom, many students don't wear them. I choose to wear a mask in the classroom and I have been made fun of by students and teachers. Unless you are extremely religious and have old-fashioned beliefs, I do not recommend this school.

First of all - we started at public school - so we have been exposed to private vs public education. HCA - We love it. It is the best decision that we have made regarding our children's education. I absolutely love the faculty. The staff has gone above and beyond what was expected. Look - during Covid, our teachers not only kept us up to date, they actually stopped by our house (which is over 30 minutes from the school) to encourage and cheer the kids up.

This school does not have very Christian ways. I called 4 times and left voicemails to have questions answered before applying. I received one call back and missed it. For the next two weeks, I couldn't get anyone to call me back again or return my calls until I submitted an application and paid the fee. Only then did someone tend to my questions. A week later, I informed the school that my child wouldn't be applying to the school due to health reasons. They refused to refund my deposit even though I ordered ALL the forms from his current school and we hadn't even been in for an interview or testing. Disgraceful!

I'm not a student, but a parent from a visiting school. The people here are very disrespectful, and do not seem to follow the Christian path in which their school so boastfully claims. I'm very disappointed in how the parents and students acted, and while I don't know how business is carried out in the school, I just wanted to shed light on their disgraceful behavior.

The experience our family has received from Hebron Christian Academy has been one of great success for our daughter. We chose Hebron because of the secure environment it has provided for all the children. The school also looks for ways to help the children grow in the technical and digital world, which they will be cast into after graduation. The teachers and staff are all very open and can be reached by phone, email or a personal visit. The administration helps look for ways the children can help the community and this helps with the life lessons on all levels of an education. I am so thankful for this school and God's Presence in the curriculum that is taught.

I am so thankful to the Lord for leading us to Hebron Christian Academy. We have really appreciated Hebron's partnership with us in molding our children to become Godly, responsible adults. Hebron has some of the finest, loving teachers, who are both engaging and challenging. They are selfless in their pursuit of teaching and love the children through the Lord. Two of our children have already graduated from Hebron and one is still at UGA. Both feel like they were better prepared for the workload at college than most freshmen students and maintained the Hope Scholarship. Their love of the Lord is still vibrant. The school is the perfect size, large enough to offer a good amount of extracurricular activities, but small enough that students can choose almost any of those activities and be eligible to participate in them. There is loads of leadership opportunities. Hebron Christian Academy is the best deal in town.

Hebron is a great school because it has great teachers. I have had one child graduate and a second now in middle school. Public school has a lot of great teachers but they can't love on students or pray with students. It's important for kids to see Christians live this gospel out somewhere other than home. A biblical worldview is important because it is the truth and anything else would be terribly confusing. These teachers are like family to these kids. Hebron is academically strong for the student who studies and takes advanced courses. Kids are the same public or private....imperfect. These are difficult years to navigate and they are incredibly important years as they prepare for college. These teachers and staff are helping kids on their journey to becoming Christ followers. They could teach anywhere.

After attending this school for many years, we took our children out and put them in public school. We were tired of the high turnover rate with teachers. Our children had several teachers that were terrible. Some were not asked to return, but others, who were related to other employees, remain employed. One such teacher was unkind, not friendly and hardly a good Christian example. We are thrilled to be out of that environment, but are sad to see that an established school in an area with a need for a good education system, is not growing. That speaks volumes.

I am a product of this school. Went from K-12th, recently graduated, and now am attending a respected university. If you are looking for a "Christian" school, this is not for you. The forceful and strict guidelines of what Christians were supposed to act like made me not want anything to do with Christianity. There are a lot of fakes. The administration is biased and it is clear to see that most of the teachers strongly disagree with the administration's decisions. However, academics are good, but not too challenging. Most teachers care deeply about their students and are willing to spend extra time outside of class for tutoring. Overall, loved the teachers and the students, just couldn't take the show the administration tried to put on about Jesus. Also, if you can breathe, you'll make any sports team here.

I cannot say enough great things about Hebron Christian Academy. I am a former teacher from public school and I loved my time teaching there. I have to say that the quality of education, standards, and values at HCA far surpass anything I ever taught. The students not only receive the best education, but they are loved and nurtured along the way. I thank God every day to be blessed to call Hebron Christian Academy my children's school and our extended family!

My children have been at HCA for 10 years. We are very pleased with how they have both grown--as students, athletes, musicians and Christ-followers. I love the small class sizes and Biblical worldview. I am certain they will be well-prepared for college and beyond----both intellectually and spiritually!

I have 3 kids at Hebron and all 3 have attended since kindergarten. We love the size and the attention our kids get from all of their teachers. They provide challenging academics and seem to really care about their students. It is a great school and we are very happy to be there!

I am a very good Christian. I have had some medical issues so I have not been able to attend church for a few months.I believe in all the Christian values about God. I talked to the school about allowing my son to attend there school. They stated you need a note from your Pasture. You need a note from a fellow teacher. You need to believe in God was stated over and over and over. What I believe is God loves everyone no matter how much we attend church. What Hebron church believes is you are discriminated against until proven acceptable to be allowed to send your son to there school. My son is a straight A student on the honor roll every year. One of the best kids you could ever know. But since I have not been well because of cancer and have not been able to attend church for awhile. Even though I pray all the time. They will not accept my son because I am ill and not in church at this time. Is that what the Lord would agree to? No.Hebron school is very political and very discriminating. Its sad because I was raised attending Christian schools but they won't allow him to be accepted because I'm unable to attend at this time. I think Hebron pays people to send 5 star reviws.

I have a couple of children that attend HCA and now my first is in college now. Let me explain that my first college student now has a full scholarship for the next three years of college and has taken a CLEP test and exempted from second year college English. He also received AP credits in high school at HCA as well as dual college enrollment classes that our son was in, which I credit to the high expectations and very difficult academic schedule at HCA. This is the same child that attended summer school in public elementary school and made "good enough" grades in public school. The school is not perfect but they really work hard to be and really push the kids to reach their full potential. Are the high school years difficult? Yes they are, but when your kid gets that scholarship, or simply does well in college and keeps the Hope scholarship thanks to the rigors of HCA you will be glad for those late nights of homework and you won't feel guilty when you go to bed and your kids are still at the table wrapping up a homework assignment after coming in from a long day after school football practice or soccer or whatever after school activity they might want to be involved in.

I had two of my daughters in the school for five years . One of them attended Woodward Academy for several years before she started at Hebron. We relocated to Orono, Minnesota, which is one of the top schools in a state with an excellent public school system, and I can share with you that both my daughters have done excellent . They are both now in top ranked universities, and I credit the years they spent at Hebron with being the solid foundation upon which they developed. Hebron is an excellent school, it provided a well rounded Christian education, a rigorous English program as well as a solid Math curriculum. The scholl provided many great memories and in my opinion has the best teachers in Georgia.

I have two children in this school and they have attended for 4 years. We are so pleased with the nurturing environment that teaches leadership and character as well as with the academics. I routinely compare what they are learning with my friends who are in public school and we are always learning the same or are ahead. The biggest factor to consider are the SAT scores. Almost all of the graduates go on to college which shows the direction of the students and class prep.

So everyone saying this school's math and science education is awful is dead wrong. On top of this, the parent saying this school does not prepare you for college could not be more far off. Going through this school's education I have received multiple $20,000 + scholarships, as well as the extra help for my SAT's and ACT's. If your student wants it, they can get it at HCA. If your student is not excelling and is not up to where they need to be, they are either being poorly handled in the household or are not applying themselves in the classroom. As a student, I did not put in any effort until junior/senior year and was more than prepared for the world outside of Hebron. I am quite upset by these reviews, as they are far from the truth. There are natural leaders everywhere you look and I feel some parents are just butthurt. This school is noted for the most obnoxious, sheltered parents out there. Keep that in mind while reading these reviews, Hebron parents keep a bad reputation. It is not the faculty or the other students, but a parenting issue if any.
