Warner Elementary School is truly exceptional. It stands out as a great educational institution that prioritizes student support and actively involves parents. The dedicated staff creates a nurturing environment, fostering both academic and personal growth. I appreciate how the school values collaboration with parents, making it a community-oriented place where everyone plays a crucial role in a child's education. Highly recommended for its commitment to excellence and inclusivity.

I don't know what those other parents are talking about. We had a great experience with our son here. We have 2 daughters that will go here 2024-2025. Teachers were always reachable and kind and worked hard to help. Our son went onto Smith Middle School from here and was elevated to K-level (honors classes) in several subjects. All of his friends on our street have similar results. Several in K-level with him. If academics is your concern, Warner Elementary, and Smith Middle School get an A+.

They denied my child ( and other children) water all because he didn't have a level 6 wristband. They categorized each student in levels 1 thru 6 depending on how much money they raised for a fun raiser. so basically made children that didn't raise much feel less than. Playing outside for an hour jumping and running to be denied water is ridiculous. I'm sure there are other ways you can reward students that raised more money. I'm so vivid that i cant even write they properly. In the morning some of the teacher that are outside receiving kids that get dropped of are so rude and lazy. God forbid if its raining. they will open the door than run back to shelter The school is overcrowded by a lot.

Terrible. We will be homeschooling next year as to escape the wrath of this school. There is no discipline or organization. My daughter has been a straight A student in a charter/college preparatory school before coming to Warner Elementary, she is now failing classes due to the lack of material given to her to study. We have requested multiple times for our log in for additional at home school work, with no luck in acquiring it.

This school is great if you like tax payer funded babysitting. There is a reason Texas ranks 43rd nationally in education. People who like this school are local people from Texas who have no experience any where else. If you come from the East Coast - where schools are better - you will be disappointed. The overall expectation for the students is very low. If your kid was mediocre at a school in another state, they will be a rock star here. This school only teaches things that are on the state STAAR test. They just want to post good scores. They talk about the State test every day. There are very few learning activities that do not revolve around STAAR.

We move to this area just for the schools and every day I'm very thankful for the decision we made. My kids are learning a lot, they are thriving, they have made long lasting friends, teachers do care for your kids, PTO is amazing with all their activities, parents are very involved with their kids, overall a great school!

This is the third elementary school that our kids have attended over the years. I have 3 kids at Warner. The school is so over crowded that they had to rezone Black Horse ranch subdivision to another school. Big school that is very impersonal. The school is crowded with every free space used for a classroom (computer lab taken away to be used as class space even storage areas used.) My kids hate the “Open Concept” classrooms. NO doors, and only partitions between classrooms not walls. So much noise as you can hear everything going on in the classes on either side. Also, it is a total concern for safety issues when there is not a door a teacher can close to protect students in an emergency. Because this school is so large, students are treated like cattle. There are no field trips or grade level school music programs due to the size of the school. There are only a few clubs offered here. They are treated like a lottery system. For instance, only certain grades can apply to be in the sign language club. From those who submit an application, only 20 are chosen to get to be in the club. Tough luck for everyone else. There are no franchised extracurricular programs such as Marathon kids or Kids Chess. Car pick up lines are long.My child was in the Gifted and Talented program at previous schools. In other schools, the GT program included development of critical thinking, creativity, and activities outside the normal core curriculum that were a bit more engaging for students. Not here. There is really nothing to the GT program here but the title. There is no difference in curriculum, except, they get additional work piled on like extra book reports to write. I really don’t know why they even have a GT label here. I think it is only because it is state mandated, because there is no actual GT programming. If you have a child who needs special services, or a 504 for learning disabilities such as dyslexia, this school will give you a lot of resistance. It has a terrible attitude toward parents and students in regard to this. They put up a lot of barriers for parents and do not follow through appropriately on accommodations. It has been a disheartening struggle at this school. Not all schools are like this which is what makes it even more frustrating. If I had to do it all over again, I would probably go with another school district.

I have had 4 kids go to Warner Elementary. 3 out of 4 loved learning and did/does not have an issue with this school. 1 was in the gifted and talented program and 1 other made A's and B's on his report cards. Another is doing great right. 1 child struggles in school and this is when I saw the true colors of Warner Elementary. Do NOT expect this school to help when your child can't keep up. If you can hire a good private tutor. That is what we have done and it has been life changing!

I think they spend too much time focused on teaching to the test. I also think your kid is a number. I have had little support from the principal or the counselor at this school

Just a fabulous school because of the wonderful they have. It's great to know you are sending your kids off to the company of teachers who really care!

Warner Elementary has a forward-thinking Principal and staff - everyone is so friendly, capable, attentive and fair.

Very disapointed with the school. They just care about training your kids to take a state test, so they can get better rating and budget. They do not care about the whole learning experience. The counselors do not to their job. They fail to tell the parents if their children need further evaluation for any disability. They just want your kids to pass the starr test, not if they learn history, good hand writting, computers, or any other subject that can contribute to a complete learning experience.

This is our 4th year at Warner and we LOVE it. The principal is geared totally towards the students. I love the staff as well. I volunteer about 3 days per week and have been very happy with everyone. I think all of our teachers have great hearts and truly get attached to the kids. I have one child that needs a little more attention and she gets lots of one on one from the teachers and has always done so well because of that.
