If your kid will be in 2nd grade, please stay away from Raegan Spell’s classroom. She’s the worst teacher ever. She does Have patience or passion with kids. It’s favoritism in her classroom that make your kids left out. I think she shouldn’t a teacher.

This school is not providing support and care needed for special need kids. The school staff is not equipped and trained to understand what is actually triggering child's meltdown and his/her brain function when he/she experiences overwhelming of surrounding or environmental factor that poses challenges for him/her to behave like normal neurotypical kids who can easily understand and follow rules and instructions and cope better with changes and UNEXPECTED changes.Instead the school staff, faculty and administrative committees are advocating and are brat about their physical punishment thinking this would change or improve these special kids' behavior in the future. While their behaviors are not result of defiant or not intentional just because they can't process information or unpredicted changes in surrounding or environment that their body could not handle so they are acting out to send the messages for help and support to alleviate or care. The reaction and action received from faculty are not expected and acceptable at all. Please change your course of action otherwise it is not benefiting the children but the parents will pursue legal route for changes instead.

We have had 4 kiddos at Pope Elementary. The staff, administration, and community are fabulous and supportive. It's a great place to have your kids.

There is no true concern about the children actually learning just preparing them to take the state test. The teachers don't communicate properly and when you voice your concerns to the principal they are more interested in pointing fingers at your child than they are in helping you find a resolution. I question some of the teachers they hire. The politics at this school is insane.

With two children attending Pope, I have enjoyed seeing the differences and growth between grade levels and approaches to learning. My child was "struggling" in math; the teacher communicated her concern and offered free before school tutoring. My child quickly caught up and has been excelling this year! I am very appreciative of the high standards implemented by CY Fair ISD that exceed state requirements. My children are learning academics and invaluable social skills in a positive (and aesthetically pleasing) environment.

This was the first year that the school was open and I have to say teachers, staff, and volunteers did an amazing job. The principal was very involved with every single student. Teachers were very informative. I had three children attending and always received weekly emails about my children's work and work/homework schedule. If I emailed a teacher they responded quickly. They made sure that not only did our children learn the had a fun and educational environment.

2013-2014 was the first year that this school was opened. There are more politics at play than concern for the educational needs of the children. My first graders classroom exceed the maximum limits with 25 children to 1 teacher and the parents were not notified by the staff. There are some exceptional teachers but during my meetings with the administration their only concern was STARR test scores and not actual student needs.
