Some staff are less than capable of handling any kind of misbehaving children in a way that would be beneficial.

Both my daughter and I love Ault! Teachers are so nice and caring and all the staff is fantastic! My daughter goes ahead of the schedule so both her teachers in kindergarten and 1st grade kept her busy, always had a right-level challenging yet interesting work for her. My daughter loves going to school, she loves her teachers, classmates, events, the garden - everything about Ault. Families are pretty engaged in school’s life (if they will to) which helps to keep a strong bond with kids. For two years being there we have only positive experience so far.

Ault is a good school in my opinion. The teachers seem very caring , and at least in the case of our child, do a great job of helping them understand the material. The grounds are typical, and seem to have everything the kids need to work and play. The community in general is very friendly. There is a lot of general communication from the school via email and texts, so I feel like we stay informed. My one negative is that the education seems almost too easy in some respects. My perception is that they are teaching to the lowest common denominator to ensure that standardized test scores look good. My child is pretty smart, but at times I feel like success is being handed to her instead of her earning it.Homework policy is pretty lenient. You can typically make up late/forgotten assignments at little or no grade penalty. Good for grades, but bad for accountability. We have not experienced much in the way of bullying. What little I have heard about seems to have been handled effectively.

Terrible is an understatement. We are planning to move to get out of this school. Enough said

Uhhh. Just like others have said. It is going downhill (or has) FAST. The 2 other schools in the area are pretty good. This school needs improvement. It needs to be power washed, updated and cleaned up. It needs new equipment. It needs a principal with a backbone. Again, some of the teachers really care, are truly concerned about their kids. But their hands are tied. Basically, this is a great school if you don't care how it looks, don't want or need to talk to anyone, and your child has zero problems, makes A's and B's with minimal effort and you have tons of money to give. We are so glad to be at Salyard's now for middle school.

Ault is awful. Teachers don't talk to parents and are very slow to answer emails like others say. One kid in my kid's recess class said he hoped he had a gun. Another kid reported him. Was this ever shared by the administration? NO. Was the kid wanting a gun reprimanded? NO. That student was allowed to return to class like nothing happened and now mingles amongst the other students. Your child's safety is not a high priority at this school but your "support" in their biggest fundraiser is. I was bugged for months to give to their spring fundraiser. Where does the money go, Ault? I am sad my child attends this school and we feel stuck.

This is our first year at Ault and it has been a nightmare. My 5th grader is regularly bullied on the bus and the administration does NOTHING. They say they are going to but the fact is any plan of action is only as good as its follow through and they have none. When I ask them to handle it accordingly its as if they are put out that I am asking them to do their job! Additionally my son has a 504 plan and certain accommodations they regularly don't follow. And lastly--my 1st grader got a concussion by face planting off the monkey bars. Why on earth there are still school with playground equipment that doctors and EMT's tell them repeatedly is a hazard is beyond me but if you're going to have it at least have your teachers monitor it. She blacked out and no one could tell us how long because there was no teacher around. Another child had to run and get one when they saw her lying face down in the mulch. Total unacceptable. Makes me want to move altogether.

All 3 of my kids have gone to Ault and love the school. I can tell the teachers are involved and my kids really like learning there. Fairfield is a great family neighborhood and support the teachers and schools. I feel guilty I haven't been able to participate more in school activities. I do feel lucky to have such great neighbors that support the school and children activities.

They make the students carry very large, oversized back pack loads. Little elem kids are carrying 20-30lbs b/c the school won't keep their notebooks and large REQUIRED binders? Never seen anything like it. They could keep everything in plastic boxes but won't Our kid is leaning back as he walks! The notes that go home are either late or just 1 day in advance. And the dates on them are usually wrong. They frequently change dates to correct them. disorganized school and wouldn't suggest anyone move to the area to attend a cy fair school. no no no.

It's old and looks that way. Limited play equipment on the playground. In a few years it will look run-down. I have seen some older schools in much better condition. Front office staff is stuck-up - one woman with very large hair, in particular. She actually left me holding very heavy bags for a PTO luncheon for faculty while she sat with an IT guy. She saw me because she told me to "hold on". A good 5+ minutes later (and a line forming) the IT guy told her to help me and she rolled her eyes, let out a huff and said, "What's that for?". He was showing her how to get online - hardly worth making someone wait. We were never thanked so we won't give for that again. Some PTO are really splendid, polite parents but the overall feeling is they want lots of money and time. Heaven forbid you work and earn money to give them. Teachers are average.Sometimes we don't get a response at all when we email. But, they sure are quick in using the texting app to ask for things! We know a teacher in the district and she said how the teachers behave isn't normal. So maybe we just have had bad luck so far? Student says school is "ok" but loved the last one. Maybe next year will be better?

My daughter loves this school and she is learning a lot more than what she did at 2 previous schools (one was a Christian private school). As a parent, I have no complaints.

Ault Elementary is not a great school far from it. there is a real sense of indifference as soon as you enter the office with an exception to the front receptionist she should be running this school. The teachers are great no problems there the problem is the upper staff principal who doesn't listen to anything complains about misconduct by teachers some need a class in addressing other parents. Diversity in the office and around would change the uptight gross feel of this school we are not in the sixties anymore wake up!
