I can't say enough good things about our son's experience at Clearview Sudbury School and I would encourage any parent or child struggling with the traditional model of education, or even non-traditional models, to give Clearview a chance for a trial week. Our 12 year old son struggled in every classroom that he was enrolled in (both traditional classrooms and Montessori). It's not that he had had bad teachers but that school just didn't engage him and his awesome potential where he was at.One story that sums up our experience beautifully was within several weeks of enrolling at Clearview and learning the ropes, our son worked with Clearview's school director and built his own PC. It had been a dream of his for years, and here he was just starting at a new school and he accomplished one of his far-off goals. Within three more weeks he built his own PC again, this time with less help. And here he is, after 7 months, and he's re-built his PC several times adding more features, he's built four others, and he gifted one PC to his brother.Amazingly, Clearview has given our son the confidence to walk out into the parks and world around the campus with a sense of comfort and belonging that brings a tear to my eye. He is comfortable and polite walking to HEB for lunch, to the Gem and Mineral shop to look at rocks, and he wakes up excited for school every day. Long ago are the days of panic attacks on Sunday night and we know each morning at drop off that he is going to have a great day.THANK YOU, Clearview, for giving our son a sense of place with amazing teachers and peers. We're so lucky to have found you and to have been embraced by the community! Our family highly, highly recommends this fantastic, fantastic school.
