We joined the Blanton community last year when my daughter started the two-way dual language program in Pre-K. We had a wonderful year and my daughter is beyond excited for Kindergarten this fall. We love the amazing and dedicated teachers, principal and PTA.

My child has thoroughly loved her experience at Blanton. She is in the two-way Spanish immersion program, and I can see its positive outcomes on her overall language skills. The principal and the PTA support are two reasons the school is improving every year!

My son had a wonderful first year at Blanton. He learned so much, and the dual language program is fantastic. I am amazed at the Spanish he has already learned. The teachers are very caring and you could tell they enjoy their jobs. The principal, Ms. Molina, has done a wonderful job of creating a school community and instilling school pride in the students. I couldn't be happier with our neighborhood school.

We have had kids at Blanton for five years and love having a strong, diverse and supportive school community so close to our home. Principal Molina has provided such positive leadership to bring the community together and to support the leadership of students, all parents and teachers. Many of the teachers and staff have been with Blanton for many years holding it together during transitions, Our children have thrived here and we have all built relationships across culture, language and social class. I would highly recommend this amazing Title I school.

I feel so lucky that Blanton is our neighborhood school. My children are safe and sufficiently challenged while at school. Any time I have had concerns, the teachers have been responsive and supportive. The community we've built with the PTA, BooFest, tamaladas, Dual Language potlucks, CAC meetings, etc. cannot be measured by standardized tests.

Our daughter goes to Blanton. We love it. The two-way dual language program, which is in just a few campuses in Austin, is amazing.

My daughter has been in the Blanton dual-language program for three years, and in that time I have seen her grow academically and emotionally. She has an amazing accent and her comprehension is something I never reached in my high school language classes. We love Blanton. We love walking to school and getting to meet other kids (and their parents) in the neighborhood. But most importantly, I love that I feel so safe leaving my kiddo under the care of Blanton's amazing teachers and staff.

There are so many positive things to say about going to our neighborhood school, Blanton. We love the dual language program, which research has proven to increase cognitive development. The principal & other staff members are committed to our kids learning & emotional needs. We enjoy activities and events, such as our BooFest, gardening, Winter Festival & just hanging out at the playground, after school. What can be better than walking or biking to school & having your classmates live near by.....pleased parent

My daughter has been in the Two-Way Dual Language program and was reading and writing in Spanish by the spring semester of her kindergarten year! The model relies on having Spanish and English speaking kids together as partners, and instruction happens for everyone in both English and Spanish, depending on the day. We love the principal, she is deeply committed to doing what is best for kids. Great after school programs including Ballet Folklorico and 4H participation - kids raise goats and chickens on school grounds, there is a school garden with regular work days and an annual plant sale fundraiser. Creative Action picks up from Blanton and kids go to the Creative Action Center on MLK, where they have access to the Sustainable Food Center gardens as part of their program.

This school does not work well with children that are addh. My child spend most of his half day in the principal office. When I withdrew him no one ask me why no one ask if there was anything they could do to help me keep my child in school.

We love Blanton! We love the chickens, goats and after school program. My child has an amazing teacher that understands how to work with a very energetic kid. The art and music teachers are amazing and dedicated teachers as well. Both of my kids have small classes. We are very pleased with this East Austin school!
