We have children in multiple grades at Campbell and have been more than pleased with the school! All the teachers are caring and work hard to ensure that my child is comfortable in the environment and grows academically. It is a diverse school where ALL students and families are valued. There are multiple programs that make this school unique including a full media production studio, creative action arts integration during and afterschool, performing arts programs including step, dance and cheer and prime-time after school/summer enrichment programs. My children have all found ways to be increasingly engaged in school through these programs. Principal Moore is an exemplary leader and the students and teachers thrive under his leadership. We appreciate how caring and firm he is with the students. The students know the expectations and are rewarded for their hard work. We are zoned to a highly ranked school and chose to do a transfer to Campbell after touring many campuses. We truly believe Campbell is a hidden gem and are happy that we found it!

I love how small the community is at Campbell. Everyone knows you and your student. You and your family are not a number. Principal Moore, Principal of the Year 2023, cares so much about your student. I have a student enrolled and a student who is going next year, faculty already call him by name.

My children attend Campbell Elementary and have been having a wonderful experience. They have benefited from small class sizes, individualized attention, and engaged teachers who really care about them. Principal Moore and his administration have the vision and commitment to support the teachers, staff, and students. His innovation and leadership earned him the well deserved AISD Principal of the Year Award in 2023. The Campbell Elementary community is diverse, and the many cultures represented are respected and celebrated. If you are a family who judges a school solely on STARR test results, this might not be the community for you.

When looking at the GreatSchools Summary Rating this school doesn't look great. But that is NOT the reality on campus. Come to a Principal's Coffee (first Friday morning of the month @8:30am) and find out for yourself what is really happening at Campbell Elementary School! There is something special happening at this school. We currently have 2 kids attending Campbell Elementary School and our whole family is very happy with our experience. We see leaning gains and success with our kids. The class sizes are AMAZING. Our kids have 13-15 kids in their respective classes. Every teacher and staff member knows every kid and you can tell they care about the scholars' education. Being a former teacher I appreciate the dedication of the teachers and the amount of support staff that works in each classroom. From academic specialists, volunteers and even Principal Moore, each classroom teacher often gets an extra educator in the classroom from time to time. Even though our school is small (roughly180 students)our PTA, supplemental programs, and after school programs are providing fun experiences for our families. Creative Action has a huge presence on our campus with their Spark Schools program and provides a huge variety of enrichment opportunities for our scholars. Check out our school's website with Principal Moore's social feed to see the wonderful things happening on campus.I can continue to rave about our school but the only way for you to really understand how great we have it is to come by and look for yourself and look beyond the stats.

Principal Moore and his staff do an amazing job. The small size give it a family atmosphere and the admins know all the parents and guardians by name. The school grounds are fabulous with a large area for the kids to play and run around, and the teachers we had really knew my kid and helped him to grow in ways that worked for him. The school students and staff are diverse which I think is rare in Austin, the programming is unique and we loved our time at Campbell. Over our time there they really improved in family engagement as well.

We have 2 children that attend Campbell. We've been a dragon family for 6 years.Despite the grade this site gives, Campbell is a great school. Principal Moore truly cares for all the scholars, and he's compassionate about all the scholars' success. You see this in all the teachers and staff. The art/media dynamic of the school makes Campbell especially unique. It had made learning more fun, and exciting!!Campbell is an amazing school!! I highly recommend it!!

We started Kindergarten at Campbell Elementary in the fall of 2020; needless to say, it was a hectic time. Regardless, the teachers, administrators, and staff worked to make school during a pandemic as best it could be. My son was sent to in-person classes as soon as possible and even with teachers dividing their time between zoom and the classroom, he was able to learn basic math, learn to read, develop a love of art class, and make friends. In first grade, he's confident at school and is thriving both academically and socially. We credit the teachers, staff, and administration with making Campbell such a welcoming place. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a positive school experience for their child.

The school community is welcoming, caring, clean and innovative in programming. It is the only Elementary in AISD with a media and Performing Arts program.

5 Stars. I couldn't be more pleased with this school. The programs and administrative staff are wonderful. Principal Moore and the teaching staff genuinely want their students to excel.

This school is amazing. Our son has had terrible experiences at two other local schools and the staff at Campbell has been so great to work with. They have helped reignite his love of learning and are very understanding.

Principal Moore is on a mission. He has turned this school into something amazing! I cannot say enough about his vision for the kids (his "scholars") and for the staff (the "dragonleaders"). Each morning, the kids produce a news program which is broadcast to each classroom. The students are the on camera and behind the scenes team. The art and music teachers, Abeyta and Mendoza, are wonderful. Last year, I saw an IG video of the kids in art class listening to Coltrane. In addition to the joy of listening, Mr. Abeyta would later have the kids create their own Blue Note covers. He was just subtly introducing the concept. He is teaching the kids about silkscreening and about Basquiat. He has artists Skype in to talk to the scholars. I adore everyone from the office staff, to the custodians to the wonderful Miss Williams, who assists parents with such grace. They truly care about these kids and it shows in how far this school has come academically. I moved my son from Pease and I couldn't be happier. Same small classes, but with more African American kids, an outstanding African American male principal and a diverse staff. My son has returned to his winning ways (more confident, G&T) and I couldn't be happier.

This school needs a huge makeover. I agree with the post below regarding the staff. I know teachers and staff are under paid but maybe this should of been considered before they took the position. If I could afford a private school for my daughter. I would definitely transfer her. The communication with parent and staff could be better. My daughters made some friends but I find myself teaching her more than what she's learning at Campbell.
