Founders get % off all schools, guides / teachers require no education back ground it’s a large MLM poor education, children’s grade levels behind 10k a year a child for children driven learning because teachers (guides) have no educational experience all about a motto given to all schools to promote to get the kids . Huge turn over rate

These schools are a just cash grab for owners. Some guides are wonderful and try really hard, but it does not seem like the owners support them. The school is filthy, the AC or heat are often broken, and some of the teachers are not trained at all and have no experience and it shows. We’re not allowed to talk to teachers which seems suspicious. It is unsafe and kids are left unsupervised and it’s just supposed to be okay. This place is a lawsuit waiting to happen.

I would never recommend acton to anyone. I had really high expectations for this school. My son came in as what would be considered a first grader and never learned one single thing expect how to tie ropes and build animal traps. Our school director announced that he was shutting down the school three days before going back from Christmas break. Overall horrible school system, being entrepreneurs we understand how important it is to have those skills and want our kids to learn them. How ever when our son was at acton he became extremely disrespectful and authoritarian towards us and other grown ups. Lastly our son is back in a traditional school system and they have told us he’s behind and may need to repeat first grade. Definitely regret enrolling him into acton!!

It's difficult to express all that I believe is wrong with Acton (Verona location specifically). In a nutshell, I think their hands off approach has not been thought out to include children of various backgrounds. As a result it feels like a club for popular kids, especially those whose parents are tight with the owner. They feel confident voting out others and that turns into bullying, in my opinion. In addition, the lack of adult supervision has created lots of dangerous and potentially dangerous situations. But overall, my biggest disappointment is that all the cool activities and quests are only a small percentage of the experience. Most of the education is done online through self paced educational apps. You're better off homeschooling your kids along with other parents to provide them a like-minded social atmosphere. For us, Acton has failed miserably.

We have been struggling with our local Acton Academy. Because it is a franchise each owner is not held to a standard directly by the people that incorporated it. Instead it seems to be that each owner is allowed to do whatever they want once they pay the franchise fee. There is inconsistencies with the education, adults are not being held accountable for their actions and quite frankly it seems to be unstructured to the point that children are dropping out. I would not recommend this school.

We love Acton Academy! We are so blessed to be part of this school!

Acton is a school for people who want to learn, not students trying to cruise through their years before college. The students learn to govern and motivate themselves, and guides (teachers) don't answer questions. This is a one-room schoolhouse for the 21st century.

We couldn’t be more thrilled with our children attending an Acton Academy.

Think of Acton as "Montessori thru 12th grade" and you'll begin to understand the unique they way they help kids learn. I cannot recommend this school highly enough.

It's pretty chaotic, very little leadership, all online learning. The kids are so wild, and don't have respect for grownups. The school is so dirty I think you'd be better off homeschooling. I think it's just homeschool for the rich who don't want to put in the time. Daycare for older kids perhaps.
