    Unruly student body allowed to bully. Students out of control and not sanctioned. More of a 'business' stereotype school than Baptist/Christ world view.

    Academically, HP is very solid, if limited, on what is offered. Culturally, girls are treated differently than boys. Girls are reprimanded for behavior that boys are allowed to do and are constantly being told to be submissive. Being submissive is a constant directive and there's been at least one homework sheet on how to be submissive. If you are raising a girl to be independent and stand up for herself and what she believes in, HP may not be the best environment.

    This is our first year at Hyde Park and my 10 year old son was very anxious about starting a new school. It only took a few days and he was in love with it! He loves the teachers and the kids are so nice to him. It's great that he can study the bible every day and ask any questions he wants to! We are so pleased with our transition and what the future holds for our son's education!

    The school has great caring teachers and an excellent administration. The principal, who arrived in 2009, is super. When we compared our daughter s academics with that of our friends children in public school, we found the difference to be significant. HPBS looked to be at least one grade level ahead. This was especially noticeable in K-2nd. The kids are sweet, courteous and respectful of adults, and the middle school students are great role models for the younger students. We couldn t be more pleased with the overall educational experience.
