This school is not good at ALL. The staff do not care about students mental health. The students talk things that are very bad for elementary school. The bullying is horrible and the worst part is that admin will do nothing about it. I don’t know how many times I got bullied in two years. I got called very inappropriate names and when I went to tell the admin they did nothing. The teachers are not nice at all. They had clear favorites. And they did not approach homework the right way. The homework they assigned took very long hours and did not give kids a break. The safety, I personally feel that this school is not safe at all. The neighborhood that is beside the school is not safe at all. Someone from that same neighborhood burnt down the playground. Students at the school do not really care about anything. I personally do not recommend this school

So I went there from kindergarten - 3rd grade, and let me tell you about ALL of the bad things that happened to me. So I was bullied and NO ONE EVEN CARED I would tell the teacher but the teacher would do NOTHING like absolutely nothing. There was a lot of swearing and bullying and I think the principal that I had (I don't know if the principal that I had is still there) was absolutely bad and would do nothing. My grandma was on the PTA and the PTA wasn't that bad, but still a little bad. Only like a few people cared about me in that school but those people were friends and one staff member I knew but not the principal, I knew the principal but did nothing about my bullying. The bully swore at me one time. Please DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE or they would have a bad time with the bullying and learning swear words at a young age. just to let you know this is an elementary school and this should not be happening in an ELEMENTARY SCHOOL!!!!!

Smith farm is a nice school and everything! The teachers have been doing amazing but the kids. The kids do a lot of swearing, Dating, And talk about sexual things in school. I dont know who are raising these kids but i dont think all these things are appropriate for school especially for an ELEMENTARY school. Its highly inappropriate and i think the teachers need to pay more attention to the students during recess when they are pretty much away from the teacher. Other then that there is a new principal and that has made a huge difference for the school.

There is so many bad things I could say about this school, I personally have had a really bad experience, Let's start off with the students, in my opinion, 5th grade is the WORST, if students get mad, they just storm out of the classroom. Next, teachers, the teachers are amazing, and students (5th grade) say that their teachers are mean but heres the thing, THE STUDENTS THINK THEY CAN DO WHATEVER THEY WANT and teachers have to be mean to control them. Next, the principal, I don't even know how to say this, WE NEED A NEW PRINCIPAL, because of the current principal, the students act the way they do, the principal hugs the students who misbehave and technically ignores the good kids, I find that unfair because the good students put effort into school and they technically get thrown to the curb. We need a new principal that can control these misbehaving students. The current principal acts the way her mood is telling her to. Office staff also needs to be a bit friendlier with us parents. If a new principal eventually comes, I hope this school will be better and that the younger students don't have to deal with this in the future.

Overall, before this new principle, the school seemed to have a very positive vibe. It now seems there are a lot of unhappy teachers and leadership there. If the leaders and teachers are not happy, this effects our children. When our children sense this, and they do, it certainly does push them in the direction to do their best. Parents have a role as well. Discipline and respect begins at home. Overall, this school has great potential, but if administration doesn't clear up some of the issues in the leadership, this school will further decline and our children will suffer.

My child has had great teachers every year! The years up until this school year have been great! Unfortunately, the change in principals has greatly changed our perspective of this school. There have been several students that pulled out from this school during this year & know of several students that will not be returning for next year. This school never had a strong PTA, parent involvement, but this year has dramatically fell off to close to nothing. Hope things can be turned around for Smith Farm because it could be a great school like it was in the beginning!

I am so ready to be done with this school. The bullying, lack communication, sloppy organization and all around senselessness of everyone in it is pitiful.

It use to be a great school. I'm not sure where they found these new teachers at but they should definitely look for replacements. When I ask my kid what did his teacher teach him today and every single day he says she was on the computer all day doing "work for the principal" something is extremely wrong.

Love the teachers!!! They definitely want the children to succeed. We have a new principal this year that has changed previous policies that we will have to wait and see how the changes affect learning.

We have had an excellent two years at Smith Farm in the immersion program. The teachers and staff are committed to helping students succeed and have fun at the same time. We love the diversity of the school and the global studies theme to teach our children to respect and celebrate each other's differences.

My daughter is a second grader in the Spanish immersion program and has had outstanding teachers in a small class environment. She can read, write, speak, and understand Spanish but has also excelled in English reading and math. The staff has been kind and responsive, and the facility itself is amazing.

Smith Farm Elementary school is great am so in love with this school, and my girls loved it, the principal is so fun and everybody else that work there are great I was gonna move out of town but because the great school we found my husband and I decided that we are staying, I onnestlly recoment Smith Farm Elementary school to every parents to send they children there, it the best choice we can ever make.

Pros: My son is in the very first bilingual kindergarten class at this school. He is now reading, writing, and speaking in English and Spanish! I can't say enough about this school! The staff is phenomenal! The website is wonderful! They quickly learned every student's name! Cons: There needs to be a lot more parent involvement with the PTA, and I think the communication could use some improvement as far as letting you know things well in advance to plan ahead such as awards days, field trip days etc. these as just nit picky things so I can give an honest review! They really spend so much time making those kids happy and just being awesome and energetic that the communication just slips a little nothing major! LOVE and highly recommend!!
