I used to go to Cash, and my experience there was fairly good. Cash was a great school and I would recommend the school. I've been there only for 3 - 5 grade, so I can't say much about the school with my little time at the school, but it was a great school. The staff was very friendly, and the Principal was so nice. The Teachers were good at their jobs and taught the students very well. The school was very dedicated to the arts, like music. There were a lot of music/chorus concerts and they were fun.

My experience at this school was very bad. Every single day my son arrived home with either several things missing from his backpack, his backpack vandalized or without his homework. The teacher said it was his responsibility and not hers. Every effort he would do would not be recognized. He was bullied every day. His teacher, the principal and the test coordinator knew. They did not supported him, the psychologist was rude and had private meetings with him without our knowledge. On top of that he came home saying strange things about men and women. He did not feel comfortable on these ´classes`.

My 5 year old had some complaints that I shared with the teacher and she told her to stop talking to me about them. She was very sad and when I asked her what was wrong she told me. I brought that to the principal attention and she assured me she would solve that. She surely did. She gathered teachers, psychologist and staff and threatened her not to talk to me anymore. They didn´t let her go until she agreed.

I would rate it 10/10. Wonderful, encouraging teachers, counselors and more. My kids love their school! We are proud to be a Cougar family!

Both of my children attended Cash from kindergarten through fifth grade. I was elected PTA president for a two year term, and remained on the Executive Board afterwards. At that time, parent involvement was extremely high, and our fundraising for quality playground equipment, and an up-to-date, modern computer lab was extremely successful, along with the Reflections program. Most teachers were Nationally Certified, and many AG certified beyond those teaching AG level classes. The arts are EXTREMELY important at Cash, and the different disciplines of art are taught by very gifted people that instill a love for music, visual art, and writing. We always were at the top in state rankings for test scores, etc., and began the Multiple Intelligences style of teaching and learning...way ahead of our time for a small town. I am proud to say that my kids were educated at the BEST elementary school in Forsyth County. I even drove my son from Winston-Salem every day; 20 minutes each way (after moving from Kernersville), for two years to continue his education there, when he could have gone to the neighborhood school, ranked as one of the top in the state as well, but we LOVED Cash.

From my personal experience, I wouldn't recommend this Cash Elementary to anyone. About four years ago, my child attended part of fourth grade here and she was bullied throughout the whole year. It started with a small group of kids, who apparently were some of the "popular" kids who were making fun of her. She pretended like she was fine with it, but a couple weeks after the first day of school she came home crying and told me all about the kids making fun of her. Apparently she started making more friends but they ended just going along with the kids who we're teasing her. So I called the teacher, she said she would take care of it, but that didn't happen. So I contacted the principal and she seemed nice, and she referred me to parent teacher organization or the PTA. It turns out the kids of the parents who were in the PTA were making fun of her. Long story short, we changed schools and about a month later we moved back to New York. That ended up to be the best thing that happened to our family. Our Cash experience was not a great one. Our family was going through a rough patch and I honestly don't think southern hospitality applies here.
