I wish my child never went to this school, there is no communication and we’ve been having problems with my child getting bullied and nothing is being done about it, even after going to the principal several times about the issue.

The teachers at Petree have gone above and beyond to make the best of a difficult year of hybrid learning. They have accommodating and compassionate while maintaining high expectations.

I have had a great experience with Petree Elementary. The principal and staff are new. It is like the school is under new management and really taking off! Everyone is so friendly and welcoiming. The students appear to be happy and ready to learn when they arrive at school. My family is happy with the new changes and we look forward to where the school is going!

My child is in kindergarten at Petree and she had a great teacher this year. The school has alot new people and things are alot different than they were when my oldest daughter was there. The communication to Parents is great. I can't go to the school alot because of my work schedule but there is always a weekly call to parents to keep us informed. I liked that better this year. My daughter has not had any complaints and is growing. I think the school doing some really good things.

My kid is in 2nd grade and he had a good experience. I had looked at sites like this and was concerned about scores but honestly my child has shown growth. When I first arrived at the school I was amazed at how happy everybody looked to greet the kids in the morning. My son is never really excited about going to school and what kid is but at Petree he gets out with a smile because its just good environment. We have had no trouble with behavior and from my understanding the kids are doing well. All in all we have had a good experience.

My child attended PK last year and is now completing K at Petree. Both years my daughter has received excellent instruction and had no problems with other students. She is ready to move on to first grade and that is saying a lot considering we didn't do well with remote learning. During the pandemic while schools were remote only, she did not attend. She truly didn't start Kindergarten until November when WSFCS started letting some grade levels back into the building. Since November she's been going to school 4 days a week and is ready for first grade. I don't know how the other children in her class have progressed, but her teacher says that she is proud of them and they have all worked hard and come a long way.

The school has been supportive and creative in serving students throughout the pandemic. They've been flexible and student-centered!

I've been really impressed, as a community volunteer. I expected a run-down facility with frustrated teachers, but it's clean and well-kept and the teachers seem engaged and respectful of students.

Horrible experiences with other students and the administration. Students are not disciplined by administration whatsoever. The teachers are micromanaged by administration.

Assistant Principal is sabotaging the new Principal Horton. Principal Horton has the new vision for Petree Elementary. My children had no other choice but to attend Petree Elementary. The environment is hostile and my son was beaten by other students several times a transfer was made on his behalf and my daughters to get them out of the environment. I observed several things amongst the staff at Petree one being that the principal wants to make a change but her assistant principal is not helping her with parent involvement. I really feel sad that all the students that are left behind at Petree will not get a fair chance at education and a good quality from the staff committing to the principles new Focus. The environment is out of control but they are some very good intelligent students that are stuck in the middle of all of the chaos. I feel as though the African American male doesn't stand a chance at Petree Elementary.
