Bullying nothing is being done. New assistant principal she targets one child all after being in trouble one time. But considers the child being involved because they are in the same class. She doesn't return calls, if we go the school to eat lunch with the child and she sees us she goes the other way. Some of the teachers are great, some needs to retire. The assistant principal is all the time thinking my child as being a trouble maker. We have proof of her targeting some of the children, but not the one that really needs to be talked to. She doesn't need that job at all,in my opinion.

I absolutely LOVE this school since the revamp! The faculty and staff are kind, curtious, helpful and informative. I feel that the curriculum that Appalachian State is using now had definitely improved my children's learning and test scores. My children love their teachers and enjoy going to school there. I have children with disabilities and I have seen awesome growth in them socially and academically as well as growth in my other children. Back in February of this year we had a devastating house where we lost EVERYTHING! The principal, faculty, and staff really stepped up for our family in our time of need! We were overwhelmed by the outpour of generosity, kindness, and support that the entire school showed us by helping us get through those tough times! We are extremely grateful for our Appalachian State Academy at Middle Fork family. So if you are trying to choose a school for your child I definitely recommend sending your child/children there. They will have your child's best interest in mind.

I have 2 kids in the school. They love thier school. Middle Fork does so much for their kids. Before Middle Fork My daughter hated school.,she missed as many days as she could.. They have been there for 2 years and she has missed 2 days.. my son hasnt missed any. No complaints or excuses in the morning either... For A parent that makes my child and I both happy..
