I think this school is fine if you fit the status quo but not for kids that require an IEP or 504. Meetings were a joke. The principal sat and played on his phone and no one bothered to read or follow the 504. Now that my child is in a supportive school that aptly communicates I can look back at how absolutely terrible and traumatic Wiesbrook was for my kid. The school needs a total staff turnover with leaders that have people skills and maybe care about the kids. Teachers here bully and taunt kids and laugh when they cry. It’s gross and highly dysfunctional.

Truthfully, I feel as if the quality has gone down exponentially at Wiesbrook this year. I am really disappointed, but the things I am seeing shouldn't be occurring at a school rated as a 10 by the community. Our student to teacher ratio Is 20:1 while all other schools in the district average around 15:1. My kindergartener is in a class of twenty six children with no one to assist. Even the best teacher HAS to find this difficult. Even though we are the largest school in the district, the PACE program for "gifted or talented" children has dropped tremendously in the last year, so much so that it now only requires a part time teacher who is expected to teach to multiple, but different levels during the same time period. Wiesbrook continues to have a wonderful PTA with many parents eager to help out where they can, but they need to stop looking at everything with rose-colored glasses. Our school is clearly at risk for dropping down the ranks.

I rate this school as average (academic level), mediocre teachers (with 2 or 3 exceptions). The PTA is strong here, the parents involvement is encouraged. Up to a point, I think the parent involvement is needed in school activities, but from my point of view, I find the parent's involvement at Wiesbrook a little bit too much. My kids went here for 4 years.

Both of my children currently attend this school. We could not have hand picked a better school. The staff is fantastic-completely dedicated to the students. A wonderful atmosphere for children to learn. The principal has always had an open door policy. He is a great leader who has taught the students character counts and has brought a real sense of school spirit. He also knows every family by name. Wiesbrook also has a very strong PTA. We are thrilled with the education our children are receiving.
