The students at this school can be difficult, but the teachers and staff more than compensate for that. I feel that the teachers genuinely care about all the students, not just the ones they favor. The staff, including the guidance counselors, are among the best I’ve encountered in a long time.

My daughter entered Monroe as a sixth grader in fall of 2020, during the pandemic, after 9 years in a small private school. She encountered the most caring and hard-working teachers, as well as an exceptional counselor, who welcomed her into the school. The parents were warm and welcoming. My daughter got involved and made strong connections, despite the pandemic. Her teachers connected with students very strongly, despite part of the school year being remote. I am so grateful for the staff and the principal Mr. Buck. My daughter knew (knows) her teachers cared deeply about her and her emotional, social and academic progress. I am so grateful for this excellent public school.

We've been pleased so far! Administration has gone above and beyond to welcome us, including the teachers. The overall energy in the school is very positive. I also found the fellow parents to be very friendly and inclusive.
