I am currently a junior at a very good university, and looking back, I am extremely grateful for this school. My experience here was phenomenal. I learned so, so much and absolutely loved the relationships I had with all of my teachers. I was very supported and pushed to grow. I feel that my experience here at wheaton north was very valuable and an important part of my current success.

We moved to Wheaton from out of state and I have to say, I’ve been very impressed with this school from day one. From the administration to the teachers, this school has been very willing to help kid get the supports they need to be successful in school. My kid reports that all their teachers are very accessible to answer questions or provide extra help if needed. Moving to a new school as a teen is hard, but the community has been very welcoming and my kid made new friends in no time. I couldn’t be happier with the move to Wheaton or the school. I feel like we really lucked out!

Great school! We moved from the city and are extremely happy with the education the school provides. I simply placed a call out to one of the teachers my son was struggling in, and she was able to explain what he needed to do to improve. I come from a family that went to York and Downers and North and I could say this school cares.

If you aren't from Wheaton for generations it is not the school for your family.

Most of the teachers and administrators care and most of the instruction is pretty good. But this is not a good school if your student wants to go to college for math or science. Mostly great parent community and decent leadership as well. My children overall felt safe here.Academic Strengths - Language arts, History, trades, Sociology - good teachers, good curriculum and proven results with students succeeding in college in these areas.Academic Weaknesses - MATH and SCIENCE - The curriculum used for I classes is designated as "advanced" in other school districts and good luck getting assistance if your child struggles with that! Most math teachers are intellectual snobs which clearly comes from the department head/ top down, and grading is all or nothing in math which is proven to be a very ineffective way to help students learn. One physics teacher my child had only helps girls/ calls on girls "because there aren't enough of them in STEM", which while I agree with the premise, in turn creates a hostile learning environment for boys.

My daughter entered Wheaton North High School in fall of 2020 as a freshman during the pandemic after 9 years in a small private school. She was met with exceptional teachers, staff and administration who welcomed and supported her transition. Despite being remote for part of the year, she made strong connections with students and teachers, and got involved in the school's extracurriculars, which were in person. I am so grateful for Wheaton North High School and the way it preparing my daughter for the future.

Basically if you weren’t born and raised in wheaton and your parents weren’t born and raised in wheaton do not go here. They will exile you. They play favorites to certain families. If you think your moving to wheaton for better schools just know it won’t be better. People are going to treat you like you are stupid if you are not from here.

I graduated in 1975. Mostly great teachers. I wanted to note that I have published a book, Gary's Book of short Stories in December of 2020. Mush thanks to the English department.

100% people might not agree but you should really consider this school

As a former graduate I found both the teachers and admin/staff to be strongly invested in the personal successes of the students. Not every student may have a positive experience but all the tools are in place here to help kids reach the next level of their education or professional career. The educational and extracurricular amenities provided by the school/district were top notch. Looking back, I am so thankful for the educational and athletic preparation I received and the overall life experiences I was afforded here.

Wheaton North is one if the best high schools in Illinois - the community is very proud of its academic reputation as well as all of their great programs, teachers and admin.

It's only later in life that you appreciate your education. Because I graduated from a school like Wheaton North doors opened for me. The town and school has a great reputation and with it comes the expectation that you do well. I was well prepared for college, and being from Wheaton and graduating from Wheaton North helped me get jobs in my profession. Geat school.

Poor school. Teachers show favoritism beyond anything I've ever seen. Very communistic...kids are chosen for awards by other kids rather than by accomplishments, leading to one popularity contest after another. Even at the graduation ceremony, the valedictorian wasn't even acknowledged...the speaker was chosen by the class. Ridiculous. Teachers assign tons of "busy" work (my child routinely had 3 hours of homework a night) , so some of the parents are fooled into thinking the kids are learning a lot. Not the case.

One of the best high schools in the state of Illinois. Tremendous school and community spirit and pride, strong leadership, very quality and highly trained staff, wonderful arts, music and sports programs. North has had profound and positive impact on my daughter's development.
