My son is having a wonderful experience at Wayne. The Principal and Vice Principal are engaged with the students, the teachers want their students to excel and his teacher is great at interacting with parents. I receive pictures and posts about his day. I have also chaperoned a few field trips and have found his classmates to be kind. I would definitely recommend this school.

As a new high school graduate, I was reminiscing about my elementary school days. I attended Wayne my entire primary school career and have both good and bad things to say. While I can't be sure what has changed since my time there, I can say that the school did have a lot of issues. The teachers rarely tried to help me as a struggling student, very clearly had favorites, and often treated students poorly. I had teachers who neglected subjects and helping me so bad that to this day I struggle with math even if it is basic. I am now an amazing student with straight A's in all AP and Honors classes no thanks to this school. The bullying issues here are unbearable, the students are truly not taught to respect each other and there is most definitely constant drama and issues with bullying and friendship among students throughout all of the grades. If you are a parent looking into this school, do your research, talk to others especially students. Check-in on your kids if they are going here because if there is a problem the school won't do anything about it or contact the parents.

The Principal is extremely unhelpful and rude. Everyone else is great.

The teachers are awesome. The principle - the worst leader. If you have a problem she will tell you to just deal with it. That is her solution.

The school is older, outdated and bit understaff... During registration, I got a creepy feeling cause I was not able to obtain a lot of details about the new school year. Info still pending! I'm debating enrolling my kids here.

Wayne Elementary has been wonderful for our daughter who has attended 1st and 2nd grades there. The teachers really care about the children, and the creative ways that they continuously keep the children engaged and passionate about learning are unbelievable. Everybody at the school from the custodian to the principal are warm, friendly, and engaging. The communication is also excellent, with regular e-mail updates to parents to supplement the information brought home by the children. I cannot say enough good things about this school.

I cannot get my child out of this school fast enough. Wayne School is a "School of Excellence" with the state of Illinois. It's easy to be excellent when the education is dumbed down about 2 grades. There is a MAJOR problem with bullying in this school, especially once you get past 4th grade - and the administration does nothing. Way to much authority is given to parent volunteers. The classrooms are over-crowded and the school heating/cooling systems need to be upgraded. The teachers for for the lower grades are fine, but for 4th, 5th & 6th leave much to be desired!!
