Great experience at Centennial! Principal Rabe has everyone rowing in the same direction and is focused on the development of students, staff, and programs to make Centennial a great place to learn and grow.

It is an outstanding school that we would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone! The kids, faculty and staff are all top notch!

Centennial School - very little help for students with ADHD. Student was diagnosed and given meds, but little help from staff.

The principal and teachers are great. The problems are with what the district has to offer. 2 hours and 45 min. is not a long enough day for kindergarten. It's a joke. No after school programs - science, second language, music? Very little technology- only a few elmo boards, no ipads like other schools in the surrounding areas, still operating on xp. Poor playground equipment. Basically the schools seem to be a low priority for Orland's government. I would not have moved to Orland if I knew then what I know now especially considering what we pay in taxes.

No buses! Parking lot too small for the kids to drop off in the morning and They line the kids up outside snow, sleet 20 degrees doesn't matter.

My kids go to this school and have for the past 2.5 years. There are some things I wish were different, but I give it 5 stars because it gets the important stuff right. 1. In spite of the fact that this school covers K-6, it has a small school feel. Teachers are caring and every one that we've had has been excellent. 2. The range of extracurricular programs and opportunities has grown. Many of these have a participation fee attached, but there's something for everyone. 4. While the U-46 district is huge and has its issues, we've heard only great things about Bartlett schools all the way through high school. The test scores are high YOY and based on the math improvement I've seen in my older son, the curriculum and instruction seem sound. It's true budget cuts have affected the district and the school. They're strapped for resources and have comp lab/art/music once a week. If you live within 1.5 miles of the school, there's no bus service. That's not the school's decision - it's an economic reality of the district. Only thing I wish was different is that teacher conf times and mtgs with principal were during hours that are friendlier to working, commuting parents.
