They are not friendly ladies, no communication other than unlimited text and email harassment, teacher barely communicates ( I don't know about all the teachers ) special education you may sign them up but nothing will happen and no correspondence if you call to inquire you are treated like a pest. They don't allow the parents to ever observe child in school or even see them for one second through the glass EVEN WITH A BACKGROUND CHECK I just wish I could see my son in his classroom one time even if it is through the window. That is why I went through all the avenues for them to feel comfortable with me but now they say its only for volunteering but the first week they said we couldn't "roam" or be on premises without background checks which is totally understandable. I wasn't trying to roam. Anyway I can't help but to think it's the school and the area so now I am looking to either move or get school choice just to avoid any incoming conflict with or about my son because I can't do this forever, it has been 2 years. Two years too many!!!! They are not welcoming, they make it where you dont even want to call!! Best thing in that school office is Mrs Elder kind lady!! If the ladies are so mean and shut off despite everything you do and try and you bow to them to avoid conflict because your kid is there you know. This just makes me feel the instruction from most these teachers is poor if their attitudes are so poor and the communication is so vague - I can only assume the kids are dealing with the same thing and their grades and learning will suffer from it. The location of this school is totally horrid. Esp if you have a car rider! And clearly they don't want to move the school to a better location I guess to save money? But they want they parents to pay for all the kids school and sanitary needs so where is the money going? Homeowners approaching your car screaming and taking pics!!! Please research and avoid if possible or use this school as purely temporary.

I wish I could give zero stars. My daughter was sexually assaulted by a boy here in third grade on the bus. It was reported to two principals, the bus driver and I was ensured his parents were told and they apparently were not until over six months later. The same boy showed up at my home when my child had switched to virtually only. He then assaulted my dog. He began stalking her at our home and sexually harassing her. The school refused to do anything because it was not on the bus although that is where he was coming from. I was told to call Dekalb Police who when I called, told me this was a school issue. The board of education said the school should have offered a meeting on school grounds between parents which I actually asked for four times and was told, “we don’t do that.” That was a lie. Finally after months, an assault, an assault on my pet and harassment, the principal told this boys mother…finally….but then told the mother to show up at my home to talk to me without asking my permission for that. The principal said for the mother to have her son show her where we lived and just show up since they would not allow a conversation on neutral school grounds. I was not comfortable with this, this was dangerous and told the principal so who then refused to call the woman back and tell her not to show up to my home. Of course the mother didn’t show because why would she address her son’s assaults? I gave up, I had done everything right with the chain of command but no one would help and no one cared. They put my child in class with that same boy this year. I told the teacher who is the only one who cared. She told the counselor who was not informed of how this boy escalated. She was pushed out of handling the issue by the principal last year and had no idea how bad it got. This school is dangerous, does not teach well, and supports kids who sexually assault little girls. Due to all of this, I am choosing to leave the state entirely next year.

The principal is old and they are rearing these kids to be prisoners. They walk in a line no talking they eat lunch and breakfast no talking they dont go outside and they wonder why they have a multitude of behavior issues. They are raising prisoners. The principal is old and needs to retire. They have inadequate supplies. My child went on 1 field trip. This school sucks.

My son did not have a pleasant experience at this school. The teachers are very mean and if your child is gifted this isnt the school to bring them too
