We've been a Brockett Family for several years. Every morning my son is greeted at the door my multiple smiling staff wishing him a good morning. When we have needed support from the staff it has always been available. We've appreciated the educational opportunities allowing my son to excell in his studies. The family events several times a year are quite enjoyable.

Leadership needs to improve. There is little to no follow up or follow through on parental concerns. The leadership seems disconnected from the staff and community. The teachers are good and seem to be doing the best they can. I do love the small school feel.

I enrolled my kid here in 2018. Not even a month later, she came crying to me and told me she was getting bullied. The teachers and staff did not take it seriously and did not even try to help her. I took her out of that school ASAP. DONT TAKE YOUR CHILD HERE IF YOU WANT A GOOD EXPERIENCE FOR YOUR CHILD. She now is afraid to walk in her new school fearing that she will get bullied again with the staff not doing anything. I enrolled her in Idlewood and she has been doing better now. The teachers at this school are rude, careless, and impatient with you and your child. Meanwhile, the staff at her new school are caring and respectful. She got bullied there once but the teachers rushed to take care of it as soon as they could. They are very nice and welcome all races. Don't put your child here.

not positive or welcoming. I don't think this is the right place for my child.

My daughter has been a Brockett for three years now...The Principal, Mrs. Truett, and Dr. Browning are great leaders. There are great teachers and staff members at Brockett. They truly care about the students. My daughter has been well supported all three years and I would recommend Brockett to anyone. It is truly a hidden gem.

My son attended Brockett for 7 years (pre-K through 5th Grade) and he had a wonderful experience at the school. Teachers were warm, friendly and responsive, while pushing their students to do their best. The school counselor is amazing. We were very happy with our experience at Brockett ES.

Brockett Elementary is a wonderful little school. My daughter who is very shy started at Brockett in preschool, and she has blossomed while there! Her teacher has been great and very encouraging and supportive. There is a community feel to this school with a good group of children from all backgrounds. I highly recommend Brockett!

They children do not know how to use critical thinking and analyical thinking skills. The Administrative Staff was good. The two Presidents of PTA did not care about the parents, teachers, students or the school.

Brockett Elementary is a lovely school. My children have been through every grade at Brockett and we have yet to be disappointed. The principal is a strong leader, and the teachers truly care about their students. It's easy for parents to be involved in the classrooms, library, PTA, etc. I would absolutely recommend Brockett to a parent looking for a school in Dekalb County.

My daughter has been at Brockett for two years, and we love it. I feel like all of the staff are very involved, and truly want what is best for the children. My child has received an excellent education so far. We are very happy with this school.

My daughter started pre-k at Brockett Elementary this past August - so my rating is only based off of a small period of time. But, I can say that so far we are very impressed. The pre-k teaching staff is highly engaged, very open to communication and motivating for my daughter. The school administration, so far, has had solid communication with the parents. I'm not over the moon about the current Principal, but I'm not passing complete judgement on her until I've had more direct conversations with her. On the surface she is very nice, but I expected someone with more of an authoritative demeanor - so I'm not complaining. The PTA has been very active already and their emails and communication is great. My daughter takes her lunch every day because she says the cafeteria food, "is yuck" - but you can take or leave the opinions of a 4 year old food critic. The other parents seem very nice as well - we walk to school most mornings and everyone greets each other and smiles or waves. Overall the atmosphere is very positive and we're happy we chose to send our daughter "public."

This is a ok school but the principal is VERY lazy , she does nothing for the school, you never see her she's always walking around doing nothing and I think Mr Andrews should be the principal he has more principal qualities instead of assistant principal qualities and also they need to change the cafeteria staff because the cafeteria staff are very sorry they have poor quality food they serve kids on the last day of school last year spaghetti sauce just the noodles and sauce no meat very very poor they have should never have do this.the dekalb county needs to be held at the same standards as gwinnett county ,because the school system is ridiculousthe counselor at the school Ms Jones is very sorry in it just trickle down from the principal being sorry .is this cool can get a new principal then the school would drive better and they will have a better rating fofom me a parent.

Brockett is a phenomenal school! My son and daughter were previously home schooled before that they attended a charter school that overwhelmed them. Once they attended Brockett they begin to truly enjoy school again. My daughter's reading has drastically improved. Reading has now become her favorite thing to do. My son's teacher is awesome. She actually takes the time to go over subjects that challenges him. Both my kids teachers are awesome. Parents are always involved and very friendly. Principal and assistant principal are always smiling and very approachable. I absolutely love Brockett and is very pleased with the entire staff.
