The worst staff at this middle school. The staff are very aggressive with parents, no place you would want to send your child.

Dr. Boston, MS James and all others do everything they can to help our kids. This is the school where I heard the exceptional students teacher MS James said to my daughter by holding her hand "when she is here she is my daughter, you will get her later" I observed when such motherly approach put a smile on my daughter's face. In addition my son's former bus driver at Freedom checked on us by roadside when she was passing by. Thank you all at FREEDOM for your GOOD WORK!!!

Good so far. I've been there since 6th grade, I'm going to continue to be there for 8th grade. I'm going to Clarkston High, which is in the district and mostly everyone is going to end up going to Clarkston.

My experience at this school was great it was so easy to learn and there were not as many fights at the school as people say, the school is doing a great job with taking care of their students. Because of the large income of 6th graders the school will be adding trailers. All the parents and guardians who says their child isn't being treated right by the teachers they should see what the do in class. The parents are disrespectful not the teachers, when the teacher calls because of your childs behavior the parent gets upset and says their child would never do something like that. So with the new principle freedom is a great school and if say it is a broke school then you are wrong because this school is actually paying a lot of money on food, they teachers ahve to get their payment and also the staff , they pay for bills, and activities.

I am deeply saddened that my child has to attend this school. The teachers seem burnt out, the classrooms seem to maxed out with students. Like there isn't enough help. I was personally told by my son's special education teacher don't worry about him failing as long as he makes an effort we'll pass him. I can't wait to get my child out of this school.

Freedom Middle School is a great school that has teachers and administration who genuinely care for the well being and academic goals for all students. Even with the challenges that middle school kids can bring, the teachers are always creating ways to help kids learn, discipline with ISS vs. after school suspension, and offering them alternative solutions to get their behavior under control before it leads to more serious consequences. The new principal at the school is caring and looks out for the teachers, administration and students. He is a great asset to the school according to the teachers I have spoken with. They can see positive changes and hope that the changes continue. With positive changes and great team morale better teacher retention is possible. Go Freedom Rams. Let's keep the momentum going to finish this 2013-2014 school year in a full force positive direction. Signed: A Teacher in Training
