I was here for a couple of years and to call the experience horrible is an understatement. Teachers talk to each other more than to the students, the staff are not energetic at all, and reluctantly do their job. You have been warned, do not send your child here.

Parent teacher communication is horrible. I'm constantly contacting the school for something. It's hard to keep up with grades because the teachers don't post them on infinite campus as they should. My children are miserable at all good. They use to enjoy being at school, but thats changed since they've been enrolled at Allgood. We are switching them very soon.

We as a community must do better for our children.

Communication from the school is horrible. Teachers do not and will not send home grades as far as homework, project assignments, test, and classwork grades, so that you can stay on top of your child's progress. Other children in school often pick on other kids (I will say this was address when I brought it to the attention of the Principle).

Allgood is failing when rated as a total school. The teacher really do care about the education each child is receiving. HOWEVER, there is very little support from the principal. I currently have 1 child enrolled here. I am removing her, because of the lack of teacher support and poor learning environment. The staff turnover rate is extremely high. There have been 2 different assistant principals in the past 2 years. The PTA does a poor job, I never hear about their meetings. I do believe with a change in leadership, The Principal, this school could be an excellent place for a child to thrive and learn. Parental involvement is not really encouraged. Parents are definitely treated as outsiders.

Allgood does not handle children with learning disabilities or other issues at all. They would rather push them through the system than to stop and take care of problem in appropriate grade. Why keep promoting a child after 3rd grade when they never learned the basics there. When they are pushed to the following grade, you have just made sure of their failure.
