Worse school ever. First to comment the school secretary behavior is so abnoxious it is a big turn off. Whilst the principal is a little shady she can work with but the assistant principal and a few teachers whew Chile let's just say the are not there to encourage and nurture your child

I don’t know where to begin. This is my sons first year at Rowland and it has been an entire roller coaster. First he told me that the teachers treat the girls better than boys. They allow the girls to get away with murder and all they do is yell at him. Second, I noticed the teachers always call me regarding behavior issues but never ring my phone for grading issues so I come to the conclusion that they just do not care about the children at all. They just want a check. Needless to say my son will not be attending this school next year! I refuse

I think Rowland Elementary has a lot of potential. The teachers and staff work together to educate and counsel students. You can tell they genuinely care about their kids. The environment is a positive one with a nice balance of rewards for positive behavior and loss of privileges for negative behavior. The school is in serious need of better funding as the building is 55 years old and there are several portable classrooms to accommodate overcrowding. The largest opportunity for the school is parental involvement. A solid PTA could accomplish a lot but there is little to no interest on behalf of most parents. Otherwise, I have been very pleased with my child’s kindergarten experience at Rowland and look forward to next year.

A selected few of teachers and staff have very disturbing attitudes and not supportive of the activities that they have for the kids.

My school is Rowland Elementary School, I no longer have any children there but still keep up with what's going on there. The Principal is great and the Teacher are too.
