Just a visitor and speaking with several parents. Horrible. Please do not enroll your child in Woodridge. Wait for the wakeup call that they are sure to get sooner than later.

I’ve had to do a LOT of mind reconditioning with the horrible experience my child has received from Woodbridge. I’ve had to help him work on his self esteem and confidence which he had before attending Woodbridge. My child is not lacking academically because I’ve had to buy quite a bit of materials to teach him myself. I can’t wait for the school year to end

I don’t kmow if it’s just my son teacher or the school but if my son been failing the same exact subject for every progress report that mean he’s not learning nothing in that subject! Poor communication with the teacher she only contacts me when my son is having an bad day, whenever I do set up a meeting with her she says my son is progressing but the progress report card shows DIFFERENTLY! I feel like his kindergarten teacher at another school was working way better with him than this teacher is! Reconsidering schools this semester if my son can’t switch teachers after the first progress report card for this semester! Also my son heard a staff talking about my age Stating “She must be young” called & spoke with assistant principal nothing happened. So really thinking about taking next steps!!

My child has come a long way. The student that she started to be, is not who she is now. She is calmer, more honest, helpful, and more obedient. She also loves to learn. I attribute that to the teachers and staff at Woodridge. Thank you!

Due to some major life changes in our lives, my daughter and I had to uproot from a familiar part of Atlanta and begin what I referred to her as an adventure to a new and VERY different area of Atlanta. The culture is different, the people are different, but like i taught her, you love everyone no matter their differences: ethnicity, culture, etc UNLESS they are unkind to you. At first glance, the school seemed to be a 'diamond in the rough' with the different and rare opportunities they offer i.e. dance, band groups...and as much as I hate to admit this but those positive points are overshadowed by the big problem. The big problem: racism. Yep. Instead of the commonly heard about white on black racism (WHICH I DESPISE and DO NOT consider myself or my daughter to be) but this was black on white racism. My child experienced constant bullying, and her teacher ignored it. My child's teacher also showed favoritism towards some of the other girls in her class that were bullying my child. She mocked my child in front of the class, making fun of her when she had to go to the bathroom. My child's things were constantly stolen by other kids, where they would go into her backpack and steal them, of course without the teacher noticing. My child was kicked by other children, and had some very inappropriate interactions with bullies in the classroom that were unseen and ignored. This 3rd grade teacher also screamed at her classroom on the regular. My child was a straight A student with EXCELLENT off the chart scores across the board until she spent not even a full year at Woodridge, where they plummeted to all C's. On a positive note, the counselor Mrs. Frye, the ladies in the office, and Coach Smith seem really cool and genuine but for the rest of the school, needs an overhaul for sure. If you have to put your kids here, avoid Ms. Anderson's 3rd grade class.

Some of the teachers have bad attitude and some of them at like they don't care, their not professional you cannot get a straight answer from them. They don't not communicate well, my duagther was in the 5th grade and she would come home and tell me about how teachers talk rude to her and other kids, so much was going on at the school not just with my 5th grader but with my Pre K duagther and I'm just so glad I don't have to deal with this school anymore

I am a parent who's child attends Woodridge. Coming from NY I'm used to certain things when it comes to education. I am EXTREMELY disappointed in this school. Not many parents participate which doesn't help the school strive to be better. I've made many attempts to contact the PTA to set up events to help raise money for the school & NOBODY has contacted me. What is it going to take for my child to get a good education.

My school is one of the lowest rated schools in Dekalb county and I would like for more programs to become available so that we can become one of the top rated schools.

I have been a parent at this school for a long time. I love the teachers and staffs here. When I send my kids to school in the morning I dont have to worry about them because I know they are being loved and taken care of.

Best Elementary School in Dekalb County.. The Teachers are the Best... The Staff are the Best!!!
