My wife loved going to this school and has so many memories! There is so much opportunity. The school district is in the middle of rebuilding and remodeling the whole school to make it the most up to date in Springfield! Staff and teachers really invest in the kids

Hillcrest has been great for my family. Hillcrest has so much to offer and it will receive over 30 million dollars in renovations over the next few years. It will be like a brand new school!

Hillcrest was a good school. It had its problems but so does every school. The thing about Hillcrest is that the diversity of people is insane so people who would classify themselves as upper middle class are places with those below the poverty line. For some students and parents this is hard because they want the best. But I learned that in my time attending Hillcrest I learned more about helping people and helping my community the most which in the long run is one of the most important things we can do for each other. The teachers were excellent in helping people when they needed if I only had a few bad run ins with some English teachers but hey who hasn't had some problems with teachers. Everyone cares and strives to help by my senior year the administration along side some teachers and students were able to provide a food and clothing bank for those kids who weren't as fortunate and the churches around helped to give bus passes to the kids who lived too close to take the school bus. This school helps so many people and gives you a good education when I graduated I received almost half of my full scholarship to a four year liberal arts college where I currently attend. Teachers and other facility helped me with this and from my time at Hillcrest I know how to best give back to my college community. This is a good school and those who bashed it either had a bad day one time or just didn't give it a good enough chance. Try the choir or the art program join the hoop club or the interact club. This school has so much to offer.

I went to Hillcrest. If it hadn't been for a few great teachers, band and colorguard I would not have finished probably. I can't count how many pregnancies I had to witness let alone drugs or overdoses. There was not much discipline going on at this school. It seemed like quite a few teachers cared about the students, however, the principles did not. I also got kicked out of the A+ program right before my senior year for "low" attendance(my attendance was 94%) when others we're given a second chance..
