We love Park View! Over the last 4 years my son has made great friends & has had an overall great experience there. The teachers are dedicated & really care about the students & their well being. The staff is welcoming, they know my son by name & always greet us with a smile. Over the past couple of years there has been an increase in parent involvement , field trips & fun family events such as movie nights, dances, a Thanksgiving parade & Valentine's Day luncheon with parents. We are proud to be part of the Park View Family! Go Panthers!

A new principal would work best for this school.

The school’s culture has declined since the new principal began running this campus in 2019-2020 school year. Kids are either mean or scared , the leader lacks conflict resolution skills, therefore bullying remains unaddressed. The energy this principal puts into enforcing drop offs with their bullhorn could be better spent implementing and following through with an anti bullying campaign. And instead of interrogating children, they should look to bringing the children together. There needs to be a serious change and it starts with this principal.

This is my son's first year of Tk at this wonderful school .His teacher, Mr Jerrard is such a kind, caring and attentive teacher. He has much patience with the kids and has such a gifted way of teaching and identifying with each kid. Hekeeps the kids engaged and eager to learn more. We feel truly blessed that my son is attending at Parkview.

Went here for 4th-6th grade and honestly its bad. The teaching methods need to change at this school, favors students, and it has uniform policy but isn’t that serious. Another thing is that kids are ether insecure or mean, and bullying is a HUGE problem but it is always overlook by teachers and staff. There are smart kids here but by the time they get to middle school they start falling behind due to the fact they only cover half of lessons at Parkview. Such as skipping history lessons, most teachers don’t even talk about science, and the language arts teaching methods are bad. Highly do not recommend I was teased, had trouble in some subjects but the “additional help” just did nothing. Wished I never went here, and hopefully this school shuts down

Mrs Taggart is an amazing principal who loves her students and staff! She always greets the kids when they arrive, provides alternate learning and truly cares about the parents. Her husband is the Simi High Football coach and their family has been a part of SVUSD for many years! I teach dance to K-1 students and what fun we have! Art, music and other creative ways to learn is also taught! Ask for a tour!
