This school is not what it seems to be, you might as well remove the word "Christian" from this school and then it would suit it better. Kids at grace just see Christianity as a chore or homework rather than choosing to put full trust and faith into it. There are still Christians in the school but majority aren't even associated with Christianity itself. This school has good teachers who help students in their troublesome, but I have seen truer Christians in public schools, than really in private Christian schools at all. The school does what it can, but it cannot fix the way other kids view Christianity as. I hope you learn that having a Bible class in your school, is more than just homework and a chore, but that the kids (7th and above) will go on the right path.(The teachers and staff and principal are great though and try their best)

Grace is a wonderful place for any student. I have been involved with Grace Brethren for many years with my family, kids, and friends. I would have never thought twice to send my child anywhere else, and it was worth every sacrifice that we had to make to financially make it possible. We love Grace Brethren, and will consider Grace family for life.

After three years of education at Grace, as parents we feel this experience was an extreme waste of our child's educational time. We are left with insufficient education. This is a devastating realization as university graduate educated parents. 2017

I'm impressed with the commitment and heart the teachers have for the students. There are a lot of exceptional kids who attend here. I'm thankful that my junior high student has them to look up to. For a smaller school, their programs are outstanding. The performing arts department is outright impressive!! Robotics - #5 in the world!

Excellent school! Feels like an extended family, we often say it's our Grace Family. The admin and teachers are very nice and they want the best for the students. Always willing to work with you and communicate with you as a parent. Our son has gone to Grace since preschool and we plan to keep him there till he graduates in 12th grade.

As a parent of 3 children at Grace Brethren, I love this school. My children are involved in many sports/activities and receive an excellent education. The teachers/administrators generally know the kids by name, and I appreciate the strict standards and high academic achievement that is expected of them. I love the Christian atmosphere. In my opinion, it is the best high school in the area.

As a student and I have been going to grace forwver:) I feel as though college should be based on performance of the student not the school. If a devoted student wants to get into a certain college and God allows it. The actions of admin should not play a huge role in college hunting. Im proud of where i go to school and i feel extremely blessed. see other comment I posted with 5 stars.

As a parent of 4 kids i have 3 of them going to grace schools I am very happy with the type of education they are receiving. I can not speak more highly in the way they are turning into men of god. This school is not only one of the best academically in Ventura county but it is helping my boys turn into tough masculine men. We are from back east and we moved here 3 years ago could not decide we're to send our boys but we 100% made the right choice. I will send my daughter here when she is old enough as well.

Unfortunately I have to agree with the parent review below about sports being treated more important than academic achievement. We researched many schools in the area, and should have made a different choice. We feel we made a mistake sending our son here.

Wow....I have read some harsh reviews on this school and cannot for one second say that i have experienced anything negative at this school. I had one child at the high school last year. This year I will have two sons attending the high school and one at the elementary school. It's costing me a lot if money but it is the fairest priced private school I can find and it is worth every penny. I have had nothing but a positive experience at Grace and I feel like there are people who really care about my kids and their academic careers. Nothing but great things to say about this school and would recommend it to anyone!

As a former student of Grace Brethren Schools, I have the utmost respect and praise for the school and the way the Lord used it in my life. The teachers are wonderful. If you want to attend a school where most of the staff truly cares about you and wants to see you do well not just in their own class, but in all areas of your life, this is the school for you. Obviously no school is perfect, as no people are perfect. There have been some not so great teachers, but for the most part the staff is amazing. The scholastic standards are challenging, but it only made me a better student and prepared me very well for college curriculum. Above all else though, the staff loves the Lord and that meant more to me than anything else. Student life can be challenging at time, but believe me...it can be challenging anywhere. Most students who complain about the school do so because they don't like some of the rules, but it's a privilege to attend a private school, not an obligation. What a blessing it was in my life. And just for the record I was never an athlete, and I never felt like I was treated any differently than those in sports.

As a Christian School, Grace falls very short on examples set by the administration and athletics departments. Your child will be treated differently based on what sports they play & how much they will get away with. Academics are definitely better than the average public school, but could still be much better- be prepared for a type of block system here. We believe it is a waste of assets & our kids hate it (as their grades reflected), but Grace likes it. If you're coming out of a public school, you'll probably be very pleased- it's measurably better in most areas than public and you'll be expecting a more regimented atmosphere. If you're looking for a consistent Christian environment, look elsewhere. There are some great teachers & students here, but it's not immune to drug, sex, and language issues. Not that it won't exist in some form almost everywhere, but they turn a blind eye to most of it here... a little too much grace. There are

I have had two children go to Grace Brethren Jr/Sr High School. One transferred in from public school and altough it did take some time to adjust - was well received by the other students and had a wonderful two years at the school. My son is currently attending and playing football. Can't say enough about the football program - I am so proud for my son to be part of it. Excellent administration, teachers, staff and coaches. I have a 16 year old son who loves to go to school - what more can I say? Thanks Grace!

I went there from preschool to 8th grade, It was a good school, but it was too small for me. But i highly recommend it.

I attended Grace Brethren Jr/Sr High School for six years, from 6th grade until graduation in 12th grade. GBHS provided a stimulating environment that adequately prepared me for my college career. GBHS also provided a Christian atmosphere for my growth with Christ. There is strong favoritism towards athletics (as you find at almost EVERY modern high school), but it was not overbearing for those of us who were involved in other things (choir, drama, etc). Excellent faculty, though many are fresh out of college.
