Just to start I have lived in this area for 20 years, all of my children have gone to Shiloh. I lived the Elementary school. Teachers were great as well as office staff. Middle school is a whole different story. I love SOME if the teachers, others are not so nice. The children's book are well worn as they have been using the same ones for many years and not holding parents or children responsible for the condition if them. I have e-mailed two years in a row about it at the beginning if both school years and again last week. With of course no response to any of them. NOW let's talk about the school lunches. They are way beyond awful! I went to school one day for my daughter's bday to eat with her. Thank god I had a salad and sub for her what I seen on her tray was disgusting! One piece of hard white bread, 5 chicken nuggets, white beans with nothing on them and a few Mandarin oranges that had seen their better days. Of let's not forget the like warm milk! How hard is it to serve food that is no warm when it should be cold or cold when it should be warm? No wonder my child comes home starving everyday! I would not feed this stuff to our dog. She now takes her lunch! It's a shame a great school has turned into such a poor environment. Bullies on staff and in the class room. Not much else to say besides can't wait to move!

This school is by far one of the best schools I have ever been too. Everyone was much more welcoming than my previous school and my current school. I made tons of friends. there is a little favoritism towards children however you can't let that bother you. It is like one big family there. The teachers are incredible, always wanting to help the students improve. 8th grade is by far the best. they have field trips, a formal dance, graduation, and Blizzard. It is there to celebrate them going to high school. Sadly i had to miss the fun parts of 8th grade due to being apart of a military family. SMS will be the absolute best place but you just have to make the effort. Also their clubs and classes are super fun. They have the best art teacher. They care about their students, I wish my new school did that. Overall Shiloh Middle School is incredible. Everyday I wish I could go back e

My daughter was new to the district last year in grade school and now attends the middle school. There is a lot of favoritism towards the kids that have been there since kindergarten or have older siblings in the district. Also in the latchkey program if you are one day late on payment your child is made to sit out from the rest of group, so every other child knows they are sitting out because the parents didn't pay, and then they get made fun of. Also the school has had very poor communication with me as a parent. There have been times my child has been punished, such as a lunch detention and there was never any notification from the school regarding this. Poor communication, policies I don't agree with that result in bullying of children, and very difficult to fit in as a newcomer to this district.

Having just read the review by a parent of a child who attended the school in 2011 and has now left... It is fairly well known(and openly discussed by teachers and administrators) that the 8th grade classs now graduating (May 2013) has a high percentage of disruptive students. The teachers have commented how much happier they are with the classes that follow them (incoming sixth, seventh and eighth graders in the fall). Thankfully our 7th grader is outgoing, tall and strong and also gentle so we have not had to deal with bullying. He tells us that he does intervene to stop it where he sees it and we believe it as that is his personality (he is a care-taker type). There are many new students in each grade each year due to the proximity of the Air Force Base. We moved here two years ago and found breaking in to be easy for our child. Our only complaint is that extra-curricular sports are limited to one team instead of a team for each grade level. This we find disappointing.

I used to go to this school several years ago. Finally i was blessed and my prayers answered, I MOVED OUT OF STATE!!!. this school was where some of the worst memories that i have experienced happened. The teachers take with a grain of salt some of them great others, not so much. the. The Superintendent personally i think her teaching licence should be revoked and she should never be allowed in a school again. the board is wacked. disciplinary staff are the worst. along with they're crooked disciplinary system. i would never send a child to this school EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
