FBA has some awesome teachers & uses a challenging curriculum for the students. We love the smaller class sizes. The spring musical is always amazing. The main drawback is there is not alot of interest from school leadership to grow its PTA program or have alot parent/family involvement throughout the school year with activities etc…

5 stars! We have found a home at First Baptist Academy in O'fallon! We were looking for strong integration of Biblical truth throughout the curriculum and a caring faculty. This Christian school is filled with teachers and staff member that love the Lord, and lead by example. They are willing to go above and beyond for their students, to ensure they succeed. My daughter goes to school excited and feels loved by everyone there. Less than a year, I have seen her grow academically, spiritually, and emotionally. I recommend this school for so many reasons and I am grateful that God led us to FBA.

We have two kids at FBA and have been very happy with our decision to attend. The school now has a many opportunities regardless of grade or age for the kids to get involved and excel. Recent ACT scores place FBA ahead of most all area schools including Belleville, OTHS and EHS. The sports programs are taking off with opportunities in cross country, basketball, baseball, cheerleading, volleyball, and track. There were over twenty kids out this past year for cross country and close to twenty kids out for track. In less than two years there have been eight all-state cross country and track kids. One of which has graduated and got a substantial college scholarship. I can tell you that some of the older reviews on this page are not an accurate reflection of what is happening at FBA today.

I find myself constantly talking about how happy we are with our experience at FBA, I decided it was time to write a review. We are a military family, and have attended Public schools up until the 2015-2016 school year. I have worked in or my children have attended four different school districts in the past 9 years. The best way to explain our experience at FBA is that my husband and I refer to it as "the best parenting decision we have made to date".Our children, a kindergartener and third grader, come home happy, excited, and appropriately challenged. Our third grader teeters with anxiety and is an "over thinker" when it comes to social conflicts. This was causing her a lot of stress in the public school, despite a great teacher at the time. The fact that a full class of students plays together (majority of time, with well handled conflicts tossed in), and I hear this from whatever parent I talk to in relation to their child's grade level, to me means that the classrooms, the families and the administration are on the same page when it comes to how we treat one another and get along in a community. I feel nothing but community, support, love and the LORD when I am in FBA. I also appreciate the level of security that the school has in order to keep my children safe while they are away from me. This school offers more "specials" than my third grader has ever had, including music, art, PE, spanish, computers and chapel. I could go on and on. Bottom line, if trying to find a safe, academically sound, and loving school option for your children, FBA deserves your consideration. Sincerely, the Imme's

First Baptist Academy fully prepared my daughter to achieve great success at college. The teachers are loving, caring Christians who want the very best for their students, even when challenging situations arise. I especially liked the freedom that students and faculty feel about expressing their faith in any given situation. I repeatedly witnessed teachers encouraging students to reach their potential. This encouragement was given to students who were achieving at a high academic level and those who struggled with their academics. The school offers a variety of extra curricular activities for students to choose. FBA works at preparing students with life skills in a Christian environment. I am so thankful that my daughter graduated from First Baptist Academy.

First off, we are a military family, so we have experienced many different schools all over the U.S. and overseas. Some good, some not. FBA is military family-friendly. When we arrived here 3 years ago, we gave my daughter, then entering 10th grade, significant input in the choice of schools. We visited FBA and Mascoutah (we thought O'Fallon HS was too big). My daughter liked the friendly atmosphere at FBA (our previous school was not so friendly, so that was important to my daughter). The principal took the time to show us around, ask questions, and get to know us. Yes, larger schools have more of everything, (they are heavily subsidized), but considering the size of the school, FBA offers a lot. They have National Honor Society, and I think the only major sport not offered is football. While there aren't honors classes per se, they seem able to flex to the abilities of the individual student, moving them to a higher level of math, for instance. The teachers actually know their students, care about them, and notice when things aren't going well. After a bad experience at our previous overseas school, my daughter decided she hated the sciences, which she once enjoyed. Good, engaging teachers at FBA renewed her interest, and she is now taking college chemistry. Is it a perfect school? No, but show me a school that is perfect. If you have a future NBA or NFL all- star, this may not be the school for you, but if you want your kids to get a good education, a decent chance to participate in sports, and not have to marinate in the often crude environment (language and clothing) of other schools, this is the school for you. Both of my kids have participated in the spring play--it is first rate. My kids also participated in yearbook, speech and drama (forensics), basketball, and math league. Bottom line: We wanted a school that echoed our family values and would give our 2 teens a top-notch education. We found it.

Basketball and baseball for boys(i think one boy ran track, literally) Volleyball and basketball for girls with 3 girls running track. THAT IS IT. Everyone MUST participate in either art or music so many of the students in those activities really dont care to be there and those kids that do suffer. The school is fine up till the 4rth grade but they have definately outgrown their facilities(some kids eat lunch as early as 1030 because the cafeteria is too small) and the abilities of the leadership capabilities of the administrator. When given the choice between doing what is right or acting to protecti a teacher, the school has repeatedly made the choice of school/teacher instead of what is right. With the option to attend the best public school system in the area, the decision is an easy one.

All I can say is that after reading these reviews, each one is entitled to their opinion. HOWEVER, some of the info stated is WRONG!!!! This school has excellent opportunities for ALL grade levels. I'm not too very sure of what opportunities this one parent felt their child was lacking, but I can tell you EMPHATICALLY, FBA offers ALL of the sports, academics, extra curricular( the year book, newspaper) and music any parent could want. If you were to make the FBA choice, you would not be disappointed.

Personally I don`t like this school. Enough said. If I had a choice to send my daughter to a different school, I would take the opportunity in a second.

GREAT school!!! My son excelled academically and had a very positive experience. Great teachers, small classes, music and athletic opportunities--all in a secure environment. They now have Kindergarten through 12th grade!
