Teachers are good it's the Administration you have to be weary of. The way situations are handled and how they claim it's how SFUSD wants things done is not always true. They will be nice to you (Principal) but after a while her true character shines through... Very welcoming at first. If you start asking questions bringing up concerns or point out any shortcomings be prepared for some passive aggressiveness from Principal or assistant Principal which they finally got this year...

We have two children at Sanchez. One is about to move into Middle School and has been there since K. The second is in 2nd grade. We chose Sanchez based on multiple criteria that were important to our family. Test Scores were not part of our criteria. A caring environment where our child would learn and grow was far more important. Location and a small school were also important to us and we do feel that we made the best choice possible for our children. We are thrilled that Principal Ann moved into the role as Principal after a few years of constant change with Principals - this is not unusual for SF schools. I am confident that my children are safe. They are learning and each is being helped in ways they need (one is now on grade level having been below, the other is way above grade level and is given more challenging texts). We are happy to have 3 more years at Sanchez with our younger child and I'm thrilled with both childrens education and elementary school experience.

We have been parents of a Sanchez child for two years (Kindergarten and first grade), and are very happy with the school. Our son has had two excellent teachers who are caring, treat our son as an individual, and very responsive to parents. The school administrators, led by Principal Ann, are warm, welcoming, hard working, and extremely competent. In our selection of a school, we chose to look beyond test scores, and are so happy that we did. Test scores don't tell the whole story. What matters to us is that our son is nurtured, connected to his classmates, and given the opportunity to excel in areas when he shows interest. We've been happy with all of these things at Sanchez. There's really something special about this school - you have to visit to understand! We are proud to be Sanchez Coyotes!

I really didnt know what to expect but the best for my daughter. Thankfully, Im glad I placed Sanchez as my first choice. I really hope that they continue to strive. My daughter is in kindergarten and is reading at a first grade level thanks to all the hard work the faculty provides for my daughter and the rest of the students.

Im very Excited to have my daughter enrolled at Sanchez. Her teacher is great and it feels good to know some of our parents are involved with their children adn expecting better things for our children. However, I know its not only the parents who feel this way, but also the staff. Every morning when I drop my daughter off Dr.Mora and other teachers are always very welcoming. It feels so safe to leave her there and know she will learn and be secure.

I don't believe in sending your child halfway cross town because it may be a better school. My daughter goes to Sanchez and we love it! Let's invest in our neighborhood schools and maybe it will make a difference. I think the staff of teachers and faculty are doing a fabulous job and principal is great!
