Security of learning in a safe environment does NOT Exist here. My son has been kicked, punched , pushed with no punishment of his bully. The other child has made his life horrible for years. The district does not like to report anything so they say it has nothing todo with bullying. But it does. He is half African American, half Asian. He is picked in all the time just by one girl. I am so frustrated with this school and their administration. I was laughed at when my son was complaining about his bully being a girl. But his father has taught him right. Do not hit a women/ girl…… but by God this girl is not a girl. She handles herself like a young boy. So lost of how I can help my son. Do better RUTHERFORD

Beautiful school, professional principal and very experienced teachers.

I am stunned at how bad this school is. They racially profile children immediately upon registration and force them into RTI. Some teachers are ineffective and punish kids with harsh assessments or extra homework. Other teachers are very kind, but not good at teaching children with different needs. My child has also experienced multiple microaggressions and bullying due to her race.

Zero transparency is provided to parents in terms of the "curriculums" their children are being exposed to. They do not follow DISTRICT-WIDE PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT Policy 2415.04. Should parents ask questions about assignments, etc., they are refused access to them until after the assignment has been given to the children. Parents are not welcomed to ask questions about their children's education and exposure. Principal Joan Carrion has no control over her school, is not respected by most parents nor teachers. I would not recommend this school to anyone.

We love it at Pierrepont. My son has made great friends here but more importantly I've noticed a big difference academically. The courses here are challenging but in a good way.
