How’s this?As a parent and former public school educator, I’m very pleased overall with this campus. We have had some amazing teachers in this school who have fostered my children’s emotional, social, and academic needs. Public schools should be a place where no agendas are being pushed. While I’m a Christian it’s not the place for it, also, it’s not the place of the school to take a stance on LGBTQ+. To address the comment below on this. Public school should be a place to send children to get the best experience in educational learning without bias. Overall, I think this is the case. I encourage parents to volunteer and get involved so they can see this for themselves and know what is going on in the school. If there’s something you don’t agree with, take it to the teachers or admin instead of posting grievances on social media platforms. All of us a play an important role, students, parents, teachers, and administration all the way to the top. It is upsetting the district is not serving GT kids as they should now or keeping librarians in the library and having aides. This, however, is a district problem.

What an amazing experience! I have had two children attend Rowe Lane Elementary. The strong academic foundation they received there is undeniable. There are many factors that impacted their success- warm and welcoming environment, inclusion for all, high expectations, and a variety of learning opportunities that were made available to every child. We purchased our home in the RLES attendance zone primarily so our children would benefit from all that Rowe Lane offers. We were not disappointed!

Our experience at Rowe Lane has been wonderful. The teachers were invested in their students' growth and cared about their well-being. My son was eager to go to school. All students are supported and celebrated. Reading over the scores listed above, underserved students are performing better than other students in the state. The school has recently become a unified champion school including all students of all abilities. The only downside to the school is its size compared to other schools in the district. It's a large school and the district could do more to help support a school this size. The parent pick-up line can be crazily crowded.

This school is welcoming and friendly. So long as you are white Christian, and straight. I am both a parent and a staff member in the school.Teachers are strong, motivated and seem to work together well. The arts are well respected and well represented. STEAM is not being utilized. The PTO is very active and supportive for the school community.Admin is rarely reachable to help solve student problems and teachers rely on each other to keep students as safe is possible with the root cause not being addressed.With the change in GT services GT students are no longer being served at all by the guidelines set out by Pruitt including the size and breakdown of GT clusters in classrooms. Some of this is a district problem with the changes but the campus is not working to follow the guidelines and expectations to serve these students.Students who are not white, Christian or straight will not find representation or support in the school as a whole but may find support in some classrooms. Other classrooms have Christian idols, posters and teachers wearing shirts with Christian ideology are common. There is zero support of the LGBTQ+ community to be found in the school.My children have obscene amounts of district/state testing that causes undo stress and cuts into educational time.Overall our family made the difficult decision to look for other opportunities for the fall 2024 school year.

My daughter entered this school in the middle of the year, coming from another state. At first I thought the school seemed pretty good but then my daughter started getting bullied regularly and would tell the teachers but they didn't care. I'm not one of those moms that thinks my kid needs to be in a little bubble and never hear anything negative but when it gets to a point where she comes home with a welt on her face and a swollen wrist from some kid bending it back, it becomes an issue. Once it got to this point, I contacted the school. The principal ensured me that the kid was being punished and that he now had an adult watcher on the playground so that he couldn't bother my daughter or any of the other kids anymore. That lasted about a week before we was doing stuff to her again. On top of this, my daughter informed me several times that her teacher was screaming things in her ear and was always screaming at two other kids in her class. I thought she was over dramatizing and ignored it because I couldn't see her teacher doing that. I said something to her teacher via email and the response I got made me think it may be true. Another funny thing is the school nurse called me one day saying my daughter didn't feel well but she seemed well enough to go back to class. She asked if I wanted to talk to her and I did. I thought my daughter sounded weird but talked and told her to finish out the day. When I picked her up, she stated she wasn't at the nurses office that day. So, I was talking to another little girl, that's why she sounded strange. So, I guess the nurse doesn't know who she has in her office.The final straw with me was the end of year class awards celebration. The teacher made up awards for each student, picking their strongest points. Kids were getting awards for most responsible, bookworm, sports star, etc. Even if it wasn't an academic award, it was positive in some way. When my daughter got up there, she got an award "future actress". The teacher went on to tell all the students and teachers how the award was given because she was the class drama queen. While I admit, my daughter can be dramatic, she has plenty of good qualities that could have been showcased in an award. I was humiliated for her but played it off like being an actress was a good thing so hopefully she wouldn't realize how rude that was. Didn't work. The last day of school she broke down crying about her embarrassment. The speech teacher was great

I am very satisfied with the teachers in this school. Since my daughter started this school, she has improved a lot in reading and mathematics. She doesn’t want to miss a single day at school.

First you have to understand we have one of the highest property tax rates in the country. The fact the school provides no text books or workbooks or anything that can assist a parent in helping with homework is so frustrating. My childs 5th grade math is so old and photo copied that it's hard to read with no instructions. Her 5th grade math teacher relies on the 10 yr old to take notes off the whiteboard for instructions and does not check if they do. Met with principal early on about this being an issue and response was basically the only other 5th grade math teacher is similar so would not help to switch her. Let me just say..she has 2 teachers...one younger one who embraces technology and one older one who is the photo copy queen and told my daughter if she can't read the photocopied homework that has been recopied 100 xs. She needs her eyes checked. She was getting two As and two Fs. As from teach 1 and Fs from teacher 2. No communication from teacher 2 unless I emailed about her being sick. All of a sudden we get an email back about how my daughter is failing..not participating etc. Weve had one parent teacher conference scheduled and the year is almost done. We moved here specifically for the school district and she has been struggling each of the 3 yrs. We are now going to try private school. Suck to pay 12k a year in property taxes and still can't rely on public schools. I would not recommend Rowe lane until they address issues above.

Rowe Lane met and exceeded my expectations for virtual learning during the 2020-2021 school year. Every day and in evry interaction, my son's kindergarten teacher demonstrated her passion for teaching and her caring nature toward the children. She monitored the students well on Zoom (seemingly impossible to me) and she redirected as needed to keep students engaged in their learning. We received regular communication from his teacher and the school, and they were always happy to give help. In all of my interactions with the nurse and registrar, both have been professional and friendly. I feel like they truly care about the students.Overall we feel fortunate that our children attend Rowe Lane.

This school needs a whole new staff. The principals, counselor, and majority of the teachers lack professionalism and most importantly a heart for teaching. They want to label kids ADD and not follow 504's. The counselor is horrible and no help at all. The principal is such a mouth

If there was a zero rating that is what I would give Rowe Lane. This school needs help. The principal and assistant principal only look out for the teacher's best interest. The instruction from teachers is very ineffective. A lot of basic learning and use of too many worksheets (5-10 a day). The counselor is horrid. The teachers, counselors, and principals do not keep information confidential and gossip about parents who complain. Such a lack of professional and breach of confidentiality. If you complain you will be black balled as a parent and our kids will be singled out and treated poorly. I don't trust any of these school "leaders" to serve, protect, or educate our children.

I'm so glad we moved. The teachers and staff are completely rude and they lack loving and caring teachers. Especially teachers who love to teach! Even with a new principle things still aren't what they should.

Rowe Lane has surpassed our expectations. The art teacher is motivating and creative. My child really enjoys the Enrichment program that happens every Friday. So far he has loved learning about dinosaurs, science and karate. Rowe Lane goes the extra mile to make sure my student is engaged and challenged. I look forward to our future at Rowe Lane.

Rowe Lane Elementary needs a huge overall. Poor leadership that supports teachers that are unprofessional and burnt out. The academics are lacking along with the fact that there are not enough talented teachers there to ensure high quality education. They really need to move some teachers and change admin for a true change to begin at the school. Our children deserve a better education and better teachers than Rowe Lane offers

My school is Rowe Lane Elementary and I cannot say enough wonderful things about everything the school as a whole stands for. My son has been there since Kinder and they have always been great to us. The teachers are excellent and always helpful. The entire staff is dedicated and ALWAYS caring in every way. I volunteer whenever I can and am proud to be a part of this community. The children are taught to be respectful and try their best. I'm so thankful to have RLES to guide my son and help shape the person he is going to be. Thank you Rowe lane Elementary for doing such a great job!! :D

I am not happy with Rowe Lane. The office staff is completely RUDE, all 3 ladies are not helpful, never greet you, and never have answers they should have such as early release times for grade levels. The principal and assistant principal are too worried about being politically correct and do not help parents solve issues. I emailed the assistant principal over two months ago and did not receive a response about my concerns. I have already had contact with him so I know he received the correspondence. The teacher we have seems burnt out and is just there to earn a paycheck. Teachers are also not appreciative of parental involvement....they just expect it. I am so disappointed with this school. I am at a loss and not sure what to do since the administration at Rowe does not seem to care about a parents concerns.

RLES is great. This is my son's first year (Kindergarten) and we already love this school. Mind you...we already heard good things about his teacher from our neighbors because she taught two of their girls, so we were already excited. The only negative think would be the front office staff who don't really greet parents well enough for me. Other than that eh...I got over it. We will miss this school sooo much because we are moving to the Houston area where we hear it is very hard to find a good public school. Most have to go to private. This is heartbreaking news! If you are deciding on Rowe Lane, stop worrying. You are making a great choice!
