Farley has been THE best experience if my life. The teachers are the sweetest people on this planet. The ELA teacher I had in 6th grade was and still is the best. The orchestra teacher and the class in general is awesome. The people I have met here are all awesome and smart individuals. The counselors are all so supporting and have helped me a lot. I have made ever lasting friendships here and these will be my most memorable memories in my life.

My experience in this school was slightly alarming. Teachers could be racial or sexually biased, and some teachers never gave 100s just “because”. Other people made higher GPAs because they landed a less biased teacher. Not amazing. I was a gifted and talented student, yet they provided NO recourses to challenge me above honors classes, which were still boringly easy.

Teachers and staff were kind and caring before but I guess this place is getting more and more expensive to live. They keep hiring very city like uncaring rude mean teachers. We moved from Austin to avoid this kid of things. It is getting worse eberyday. It is not a good school any more. I am pulling out my kids from this school.

Overall I am very pleased with the education my children are receiving at Farley. I have 2 attending and we are about to add a third. We have one child with health problems and have had pretty good help from the administration. The teachers are good, but you will always have a few who don't like their job in a middle school. The administration allows changes if personality conflicts arise for students who apply themselves. As always good parental communication is a must

I let my children go to this school because my niece said it was amazing. However, this year has been anything but. My son is in 5th and daughter in 6th and the only thing I can say is this school has a big problem with bullying and the counselor in one of the many email communications said "I'm not sure how I can help" and then accused my daughter of lying (in an email) when it was a classic case of the counselor putting the bully in the same room with my daughter and expected my daughter to do what? You don't put the bully in the same room with the one being bullied, it's a classic case of fear of retaliation! My son says he tries to go down to talk to her and she doesn't ever appear to even listen or care and then ushers him out. So you can't trust the counselor because she's flat out lied from one email to the next and the principals took me going up there time and again before they finally did something about the bullying and made MY daughter switch classes and had the girls who were bullying sign a "stay away" order. It's sad that as scary and real as bullying is, that my daughter had to be threatened one too many times before they finally did something. DO NOT GO HERE!
