Academically my son has flourished but emotionally he is struggling. There have been threats, drugs, and bullying of the minor ethnicities. And though there is always a plan in place to address the issue, give it a couple days the issue will be back. My son does not want to return.

My children and now my grandchild attend this school. My granddaughter is in 3rd grade. The school has come a long way. The new rebuilt school addresses all the safety concerns previously mentioned. The halls are all enclosed now. The line up to pick up children has been perfected if parents will just follow the guidelines. walkways are safer. Classrooms are smaller. The curriculum is challenging and the staff care deeply for the students. I would never have rated this school so highly 10 yrs ago. They have worked hard to bring this school up in educational values and safe place to learn for its students.

I loved Azalea Park Elementary school! It was so much fun and I loved all my teachers. I'm still in touch with a few of them today on Facebook. The teachers cared about their students back when I went there. Now, the school has been rebuilt and they've got a new principal and a lot of new teachers. I have no idea what it's like now. But, I can say I can't even recognize the new building.

Everything that was said by this teacher sounds soooo great but the fact are not so. My kids have been going there for 3 years an I have never been welcomed at that school I guess I'm not white enough! The staff and the teacher treat the sudent and their parents like animals coming to feed get you in and get you out. Yesterday i seen the saddest thing, two little girls are waiting in the front office and awhite lady comes from the back to bring a child to his mother and in front of everyone she said " what are these two doing here" the other lady behind the desk says they are waiting for their dad and she said what the heak are we babysittersand do they think we are going to do this eveyday. My hart fell to the floor. I have never seen anything like that in my life.
