Excellent school in every way. Academics are strong, as well as, student support in mental health support, ese program, many after school clubs, and each child has their own ipad or computer. Always seeking to be more innovative and creative in teaching lessons.

One of the best K-9 schools in Orlando, my son is happy to attend here. Great staff and facilities

The principal is a complete joke. Since COVID, his true colors have shown. I had to complain to the board of education about his practices during COVID regarding notifying parents because he just decided to stop calling and only send emails. If you are wealthy you might be okay here but if you are an average American then no, you will be made to feel like you’re beneath the rest of them. This school acts like they are a private school. I have never been so happy to be done with a school that my kids have attended.

When my older son went here, I loved it *loved it*. But now? It feels like a completely different school.First: this school only cares about you if you have $. End stop. If you're one of the wealthy people of Baldwin, you'll have a completely different experience than the rest of us regular joes. Second: the PTA is comprised of nothing but mean girls. If you've seen the movie "Bad Moms"---that's exactly what these women are like. If all you can do is volunteer your time, they will take advantage of you in every way possible, treat you as their employee instead of another adult who is volunteering at their child's school, and happily exclude you from ANYTHING they do as a PTA group off school property. If you have money and happen to be a narcissist, you'll be just fine. (Even if you have money but a good attitude, you'll likely have a rough time). Third: the new principal is terrible. I never really knew the old principal and I certainly wasn't friends with them, but this new one is just not awesome. During Covid last year, we were the only school among my friends In Florida who weren't doing pods/keeping kids apart as much as possible etc. In fact, he forced kids in my son's class to sit right next to each other. I know this because we were virtual at the time and I literally heard the teacher say "Principal Hay wants you sitting all together". The principal also doesn't support parents. If you go to him with a complaint, he'll outright tell you "no, you're wrong" and that's where it ends. I understand supporting teachers and getting both sides of the story but this principal just---doesn't. A friend had a problem with bullying, relayed what the child said (which sure, should be taken with a grain of salt) happened in the afternoon hours and the principal said "that didn't happen I was there". When the parent countered "you were there all day? in the classroom?" he said "no, but I was there for an hour in the morning." Nothing was done. Parents are afraid to complain due to retaliation. Last year, my son's teacher called children lazy crybabies and would name call when admonishing them. (I did give 3 stars to teachers in this review because our teacher this year is quite lovely but another friend is having an awful time. Her child's teacher yelled at her to "get out of my classroom" when she goofed off once, verified by teacher). This school is resting on an old reputation. Just be aware. If you live here, go to private school.

My son has been bullied and the school has failed to address the issue. I had to get family and friends involved and now the school has completed its investigation and has stated based on there evidence not the FL school statue that clearly defines bullying that my child has not been bullied. School does not want to address the issue and fails to communicate appropriately and effectively. The leadership is horrific and the principal is clearly not a professional leader who knows how to remain unbiased. I will not stop advocating for and against bullying.

Way overcrowded! No individualized attention when 28 kids per class & 1200 children in the school! The office staff are very rude. Definitely does not give you the "warm and fuzzy" feeling. Will be putting my child in private school soon.

As a parent, I have a mixed opinion of Audubon Park, so I gave it a 3-star rating. Here s why: Strengths 1. Always receives an A rating. 2. New, clean building. 3. Classes like art, performing arts and library/media center. 4. Active parent community. 5. Some diversity. Concerns 1. The old principal took over Glenridge Middle this year and other assistant principals left, so the entire leadership team is new. 2. Despite the A rating, academics are not as strong as they could be. For instance, the school has a big tech focus, but the academic purpose behind it isn't clear. Also, I would rather see students doing more projects instead of worksheets. 3. Info on student progress isn't great. Progress reports are generic and pretty useless. 4. 1200 students in a K-5 school! That is 400 over capacity, so there are lots of portables. There are plans for a new K-8 school but it will take years to build. 5. There is always a fundraiser or request for money and supplies from teachers. Always! I feel for families who do not have much to give. 6. It has lots of outreach to parents (texts, robo calls, emails) but it's too much. 7. It could do more to listen to parents' concerns.

We moved here in June 2012 and my son was starting Kindergarten in August. We have had the BEST experience with Audubon! They have so many awesome service projects for the kids to participate for (volunteered basis) Parent Evolvement is amazing, I do not think I have ever seen anything else quite like it. The facility is clean, easy to figure out and very well maintained. Our son's teacher is outstanding!!!!

I love the school we just moved here and my daughter has never adjusted so well in a new school as fast as she did here. They are very involved with the students as well as the parents :) I highly recommend them

My three kids love summer vacation but can't wait to get back to school. Their enthusiasm for learning is strong evidence that Audubon Park is an amazing institution!

Amazing ESE staff and support! If you have a kid who needs from a little to a lot of interventions, this is the school for you.

My children love going to school. They love their teachers and the principal. I could have them write a review. Audubon Park Elementary is an exceptional school that should be used as a model for schools around our community. The principal and teachers are committed to excellence. The teachers update parents regularly and do it multiple ways. For example, they do e-mails and send home written instructions. If you do better with e-mails, you will be in the loop. If you don't own a computer, you will be in the loop. They give children individual attention and help them with their specific challenges. They welcome and encourage parent involvement. We often have lunch with our children and other parents are always there. They are very focused on the fundamentals of learning. Reading and math are promoted daily. We researched private schools before putting our children at Audubon Park and feel confident that we made the best decision for our children. I highly recommend Audubon Park Elementary to parents who want to be involved in their children's education. Finally, I love that the school is diverse in every way and that children from all backgrounds are loved and respected.

Outstanding school! I am so grateful that we have one of the best schools in Central Florida in walking distance from our home.

Horrible school. They registered my daughter in the wrong grade. My husband and I didn't even find out about it until we went to meet the Teacher! Horrible! Like if we people are some kind of animals and they can do whatever they want with our children, then the front office staff were mad because we were upset. Not to mention that public schools only teach children how to pass the FCAT test; this is no secret to anyone. I always disliked the public service. You pay for what you get. Staff are more worried about loosing their job than going the extra mile for our children. Not the good school you think it is, Think again before enrolling your child here. I agree with postings below.

I am disappointed with the lack of experience I have seen thus far with the teachers at Audobon. I was looking forward to working with the teacher in improving my child's learning experience after he entered kindergarten. Instead of getting constructive feedback (e.g. letter z pronunciation, numbers past 99 need to be learned), I get he knows something one day and forgets it the next . Hello! That fits the description of most five-years olds not name Albert Einstein . All the criticism seems to be more of the nature of "I am tired with dealing with five-year olds all day"instead of "I am trying to help them improve".
