We had our children at Alpha Christian Academy for two and a half years. Great teachers when our kids were in Pre-K and Kindergarten. However, that changed in August 2014. Parents were not notified when teachers were let go, nor when the administration changed. We didn't find out until the "Meet the teacher", a week before school started, when we were told that the 1st grade teacher was hired a week before hand. One of the Kindergarten teachers was hired a week ahead of time, and another 2 hours before the Meet the Teacher. It was insane. We instantly had reservations due to that knowledge, along with the Kindergarten classes being over-enrolled against the school policy. We, along with other parents, set up meetings with the new school director, Susie Book. Her first response to us was that if you didn't like the changes, you could go somewhere else. She kept laying blame on the previous administration, but could offer no real solutions. It got so bad that a church elder was called due to it.Susie Book's answer to everything was to blame the previous administration first and then tell us to go somewhere else if we didn't like it second. Because we found out so late, we were unable to secure spots at any other school because they too had waiting lists of people. We were forced to stay at Alpha, a place that we had loved the previous two years. Our kindergartners went through 3 teacher changes in less than 2 months and our first grader went through 2 teacher changes. We discovered that the kids weren't being taught the curriculum in Kindergarten. It felt like we had a meeting each week at the school. We even found out that it took 88 kids to break even for school finances. They were under-enrolled at that time, and by the time we left, the school's enrollment was down to around 60 kids. We were truly worried that the school would close before we made it to Christmas. We had recommended this school at the end of the 2013-2014 school year. Now, we can say nothing but negative things. I would not enroll any children at this school, or a school where Susie Book is in any administrative capacity.

I'm a parent that has seen this school transition and advance in a positive and progressive way. I never had a negative experience with the prior Principal or how the school was run before, which is why I chose to enroll my son here. But now with Mrs. Book as our new principal, I truly see the difference, it's night and day! She and her staff have taken this school to the next level, everything from the basic payment arrangements for tuition to just the welcoming environment as you walk through the doors, there is order and organization throughout the school. Our new principal is so proactive, she cares deeply and has really created a cohesive learning environment for students to take part in. The school events are fun, vibrant and everyone really enjoys them. This school has transformed itself within the past year to one that I'm extremely proud to say my son loves going to!!!

We LOVE Alpha Christian Academy! My child loves the school and the teachers and he has made some really great friends. The students are advanced and they know the Word! The new "Principal" is awesome! I wish the school went all the way through 12th grade!

The new Principal or "Executive Director" (as she likes to call herself) is a horriable leader for the students and the school. When I call the school she has no idea who my child is. The principal before this new one knew everyone by name. Parents never see the principal out at car line and all school events take place during the school day and parents are not invited to attend. The teachers have gone down hill as well this school year. I had to remove my children due to a decrease in self esteem because of the lack of classroom management, and lack of positive interactions between teachers and students. This school lost the family feel it used to have. It saddens me to see the direction the school is going. I gave 1 star because that is the minimum.... I would give it a zero rating.

TERRIBLE horrible teachers principal could care less about bullying. She only cares about the money. Refuses to think any of her staff could ever make mistakes. Which they do, none of them should be teachers. Maybe a handful should, but not many. The teachers bully the children and pick favorites. Don't send you children here, the only reason I did was because I knew I was only 3 minutes from my house.

I have 3 children that attend Alpha Christian Academy. I have to give the school a 5. My oldest has been there for 6 years and still loves it. The school is a smaller school which makes everyone feel welcome and we are all like a little family. The teachers are a tremendous help and the staff is absolutely amazing. I will recommend this school to anyone looking for a school that always puts God and education first.
