Son is in 3rd grade special ed. This school is amazing. The current principal is Mr Fox. He runs a great operation. Entire staff down to the janitors are all focused on the kids. When I pick up our son, he always leaves happy and I see all the other kids smiling and being happy. The staff and teachers we’ve had have all been A teachers. I absolutely feel like our son’s education couldnt be better anywhere else. A+ score. 10 out of 10. Also, I love how this school has staff of all different backgrounds. My son is one of two white kids and the rest of his class is a rainbow of colors and backgrounds. This is “normal” here. Everyone is treated well and it’s encouraging to see our son grow up with such of a variety of racial and ethnic backgrounds. Compared to my education, this is the diversity that lifts everyone up. Every child deserves a quality education and they’ll get that at this school.

Excellent school. The school's staff are great, and they care about kids! They do amazing work with diversity, and I can say it proudly, since I was not born in this country.

Lakemont Elementary has been an incredible experience for our family since 2020. Principal Fox stands out as an amazing leader who genuinely cares about both students and the community. Our time at Lakemont has been fantastic, we've had incredible teachers, caring support staff, attentive administration and we've had the pleasure of connecting with wonderful families within our community. The school's commitment to involving families is evident, making us proud to be Lakemont Leopards!

Our child has been at Lakemont for one year and is now attending camp there. They will continue their elementary education at Lakemont, which we are quite happy about. The teachers at Lakemont are mostly awesome. Administration is open and communicative which is great. The communication between the school and home could be improved. We'd like to see more art focused classes and extracurriculars. Overall we have enjoyed our time at Lakemont and look forward to more improvements and happy years there.

Lakemont has been a wonderful school for our family. I have been completely impressed by the school, the teachers and staff, and the community of parents. It felt like a huge decision when we chose where to send our oldest for kindergarten. We debated between private and public school. After talking to many families with children at the school, we decided to try Lakemont. It has been a great decision. The teachers, staff, and principal are incredible! They enable a wonderful environment for my child. Academically and socially, he is thriving. He absolutely loves his school! The parent community / involvement is also strong with many great school events. We have been very happy with Lakemont, and we feel the school is giving our child a strong academic and social foundation.

We have loved Lakemont elementary school for my daughter who started kindergarten this year. Her teacher has been amazing in every way from academics, curating positive social interaction skills amongst the kids to fun and creative ways to learn hands on. My daughter loves her class and her school. It is very community based with lots of events for the kids, families and parents. We have enjoyed family game night, family fun run, father/daughter dance, international night, silent auction events and so much more. I love seeing how much my daughter has excelled in her learning and in a way where she loves to learn. The principal Mr. Fox even knows her by name. I would recommend this school to anyone wanting a strong academic, social and supportive school for your child and family!

My son has had two years at this school and truly loves it. The teachers are there because they care for the kids so much. Mr Fox, the principle, is so involved with every student and activities on campus. I feel my child is SAFE when he attends, and these days, that means a lot. 5 stars!

I have three children currently enrolled at Lakemont. The parents are extremely involved and the staff is outstanding. Even through transition they handle themselves well. All of the teachers we have had were great, if not excellent. I am excited to have my children enrolled here and love the feeling that they attend a friendly, neighborhood school that in the heart of Winter Park.

The school doesn't have a basic common sense to inform the parents when bus is being late for hour to two hours. SO UNPROFESSIONAL!!!

My daughter has been in this school since kindergarten I never had an issue. Three weeks left in school and they withdrew my child. Testing is this week in school I still have a current lease provided all of my information they requested and they still withdrew my daughter. I had to make an appointment with orange county registration provided them with all my details and still have to go back again there later this week. My daughter can fail third grade because she is missing test because of the registration at Lakemont elementary school . thank you Felicia

They literally do not care for your children as human beings. Teachers are held hostage or rendered indifferent as a result of the dominant "pea-brained" administrative mentality. If you want your child to learn how to serve as a cog in a big machine, then Lakemont is for you.

I have to say that my daughter had a superb kindergarten teacher. However, my son'a first grade year was such a waste that he has lost interest in school altogether. His teacher was uncommunicative, combative, accused my son of being a 'baby' because if a physical disability. She was only present for 1/2 of the time sand my some as taught by a revolving door of substitutes. He would come home with homework every night and have no idea how to do it. I would literally have to look up on the web how to instruct him. Halfway through the year he told us the process of 'class work' entailed his teacher standing at the overhead and answering the problems on their worksheet. Zero instruction. Now we are in a different state with more rigorous standards and now it is crystal clear how little he learned last year. I suppose that Lakemont is one of the best in Orange County, but if we didn't take this job offer in a different state we would have sold our house just to afford to put our kids in a private school. I am grateful that we were able to afford private school.

Lakemont Elementary is a great school. I really love all the Teachers, Principal and staff. They truly care about our students and their success academically. They are very supportive and go above and beyond to make the environment at school one that is caring. Both of my children have attended Lakemont and it has been a great experience for them as well as for me as a Parent.

The office staff is great and very welcoming. The teachers really seem to care about the kids. They have alot they have to do to keep up with the common core curriculum but do everything they can to encourage and engage the kids. We are very happy with Lakemont.

Am very hopeful that Lakemont is everything I have come to expect. Heard many great things! My son just started kindergarten and so far so good. Teacher and staff have been very helpful and seem well prepared. Son comes home excited and happy!

Principal is terrible. She will give a lot of misinformation. It always good to check florida educational website and check if she is telling you the truth! There are wonderful teachers, and few bad ones.Cafeteria people are very rude and some people of front desk as well. If you child is strugling in learning they will start caring when the child is about to fail.

If you can afford private school, do so. Lakemont isn't bad, but it's still Orange Co. they do intermix kids from other areas, you will run into problems from that. Generally the staff and teachers are nice, but the school will wear you down by 5th grade. The fifth graders are in trailers by the way. The area around Lakemont is snooty and perhaps a bit privelaged. You will have to learn how deal with moms that have no jobs and tons of plastic surgery, or dads that are either overworked or a jerk mostly. I would recommend a private school if you can hack it. And again, I'll put most of the blame on Orange Co., not Lakemont. Individual teachers have been fine, it's the county and administrators that lack good judgement at times.
