It's a great school with responsive administration and a culture of community involvement and kindness. Any complaint I would have about the academics would be due to county or above policies. Most of the teachers are exceptional. I haven't personally experienced a teacher that I didn't think went above and beyond for their students. I have my favorites but overall I haven't had any issues. There is a lot of parental involvement at this school and that has both it's pluses and negatives.

Amazing school! Parents are super involved, the families are great and the teachers really care about their students. A great school tucked in a family oriented neighborhood. Voted top public school in Orlando.

We moved to this neighborhood just for this school!!! it is truly an amazing environment with a TON of amazing teachers and parents!!! We had entertained the idea of sending our kids ot private schools, but you serioulsy couldn't even pay me to attend any other private school around town!! The teachers take time ot get to know your kids and make them feel loved! The academics are totally up to par...totally a "private/public" school!!!

Dommerich Elementary is an amazing school. The Teachers, staff & Principal couldn't be more helpful with keeping parents & students up to date with everything that concerns their academics. The PTA is outstanding, virtually every stone is overturned in the exploration of learning & helping every child at this school! The neighborhood is also terrific. We are very pleased at the schools efforts to enrich every child's knowledge to grow, learn & succeed in every step with all they do. GO CHIEFS!!!

My son goes to Kg at Dommerich elementary school and he loves it to bits . As parents we are satisfied with the faculty and school facilities. What was most impressive was how involved the PTA was in the improvement and growth of school. My son looks forward to going to school each day and Loves his teacher!!!

We moved to the neighborhood just for this school. Not only are the teachers and Principal (Dr.Kreil) educated at the highest levels(Dr/Masters degrees) but most of the parents are involved and help in the class. Which gives the teachers all of their time to focus on educating the children! Every year we have had amazing teachers who love my children and instill a love of learning and teaches them moral values and how to communicate with other children in a loving way. We left a private school to come here and haven't regretted that decision once. Id rather give that money to Dommerich!!! Thank you to these amazing teachers and families!!!

Dommerich is the perfect example of a true community school. Their is a connection between teachers, students, parents and administration that surpasses anything I could have imagined for my children. The school is made up of families that truly look out for each other and tremendous parental support. The teachers are all exceptional and the admin staff is totally committed to every child. We are very thankful to live in the community and have our children educated at DES.

This school is a gem. We moved to dommerich for the schools and I am certain we made the right choice. The teachers and faculty are wonderful. The programs at the school are top notch. the parents are involved and want what's best for their children l. My child is receiving the best education available in public schools. Dommerich Elementary is a wonderful neighborhood school. It has a strong and current principal, and dedicated and experienced teachers. It consistently ranks as an "A" school. The parent and community involvement & support is unsurpassed.

Dommerich is nestled in a nice residential neighborhood where parents move to send their kids to the school. The quality of the school reflects the parental involvement. The principal is excellent and makes every effort to meet the needs of every child. This basically is a free, high-performing private school (well, aside from taxes anyway). It actually is one of the smaller elementary schools in Orange County. Very close knit and personal. Everybody knows your kids.

Despite of it being a large school, it is very welcoming. The teachers are excellent and the parents are very involved. The principal communicates with families weekly and although it is a public school, it feels like private. Everyone knows each other and truly cares to make a difference in children's lives.

My children went to Dommerich spanning over 14 yrs with last year 2012 being our last year there. We could not have asked for a better school for all 3 of my children. My children have excelled at Dommerich and the teachers and staff were awesome. Very much a feeling of family and community at that school and a great stepping stone to their future. I was a substitute teacher there also for 7 yrs. and know from that point of view that there isn't another school like it!!!

We are fairly new to the area (a little over one year); my daughter just completed her first year at dommerich. I was reluctant to send her to an OCPS due to the horrible reviews we hear about so often. I have to admit the school suprised my wife and I time and time again. The facility is fairly new and sits in a quiet setting of a nice neighborhood. The teachers are knowledgeable and practice very open communication with the parents. Like many OCPS schools they offer utilities for parents to stay involved such as update emails and a website that provides information relating to upcoming events and school activities. In the mornings some of the students host a "Live" t.v. broadcast news report for all students to watch. The parents of dommerich students are exceedingly involved, more so than any school I have ever seen. School officials orchestrated several successfull events to bring the community together. The school is proud to assist scouting and other similar extra curricular activities. Dommerich has to be one of the best schools in the greater orlando area.
