Amazing school! My son has struggled in school for years until we arrived here! The teachers really care and have helped my son understand the material and improve his gpa. This has been such a blessing for our family!!

I could not be more grateful to have found this school. The staff is engaged, thoughtful and incredibly kind. It is the perfect place for my delightfully unique, highly intelligent kid.

This is our first year at Center Academy Maitland. We were not going to even attempt a standard middle school for our high functioning ASD son. He has felt more confident, and we have felt safer with him at this smaller setting. The 2 adults in every room and the smaller setting without distraction has meant the world to him as he also has ADHD. The rigor is there but the staff spend the time breaking things down for him and allowing him to work hard without the anxiety. We are very grateful!

There is respect for all students. Encouragement builds great confidence and a sense of accomplishment. I wish I had known about this school sooner!

Center Academy educates the whole child...social and emotional issues are taken into consideration. The public school was not a good fit for us and we realized he was beaten down by the daily routine. He has flourished and actually looks forward to going to school each day.

I have no words to describe how Center Academy has been a blessing to my children and our family. The entire staff is amazing. My kiddos loves going to school! Thank you Ms. Sas and school staff for caring about my children and for providing excellent education! Thank you for treating us like family, for teaching my children to become leaders in the near future. We love you Center Academy Maitland, Mrs. Heidi Rios

I highly recommend Center Academy for students who need a TRUE individualized educational plan. My son struggles with severe dyslexia. After being at another private school that specializes in learning differences for 6 years, his reading level was below the 4th grade at age 14. Teachers there told us that we would be lucky to have him reach a 5th grade reading level. I am very proud to say that after just two years of individualized care and attention at C.A. my son is now reading at a 7th grade reading level! He no longer feels helpless. We are no longer fearful for his future. Students at C.A. are not enabled because of their learning differences. They have a personalized schedule they are held accountable for each day and are given the support needed to succeed. Independence and self-esteem are build daily. The teachers treat students with respect and careful individual attention. The Principle/ Parent relationship has been a dream. If curriculum changes need to be modified during the year, its done! If additional attention is needed in a specific area, it happens! Now there are only tears of joy instead of cries of frustration. Thank you Center Academy!!!!

My daughter has a severe case of Centralized Auditory Processing Disorder and Dyslexia, Had been held back, and continued to fall behind the other students. I was about to give up when I found Center Academy. They tested her extensively and put together a learning program just for her. All the students at Center Academy work at their individual level for each subject, and at their own pace. The teachers at Center Academy really care about their student s success. If they see a student struggling they pull them aside and work with them one on one until the student fully understands the work and can continue on their own. And the small class size and individual cubbies make it easy for them to concentrate. Only two years after entering the school my daughter was able to make up the grade level she had lost and is now an honors student. Since attending Center Academy she now loves to read and devours books one after another. Next year she will be a senior, and with only four credits left needed to graduate she plans to take dual enrollment with Seminole State College. I truly believe none of this would be possible without Center Academy. Sincerely, Michelle

Both my daughter (ADD) and my son attend Center Academy, which was recommended to us highly by an administrator at Orangewood Christian School. At first I was skeptical, but soon realized that this is exactly the program they needed to focus again on school work. My son (ADHD) has evolved from being totally distracted in school (he went to WPHS for 9th grade) to completely focused on graduating from high school early to start college. This is a school that doesn't just accept your children's challenges, but embraces them with love and understanding. Now that my children are working at their own pace, they feel successful and not like failures. College is talked about almost daily. We are very impressed with the principal -- a man of compassion and dedication to students who can't always fit into the public school model. We are grateful for Center Academy!

I highly recommend CA. My daughter struggled thru her 1st yr at a public H.S. It was an A school but did not meet her needs. She s been on med since 1 which affects her processing skills, tired easily & not staying on task. At public school, students/teacher ratio is too high for teachers to focus on kids like my daughter. She is pushed to keep pace w/ others & spends every night w/ homework past 10pm. Next day, she too tired to keep up & it was a vicious circle. 2012-2013 is her 1st yr here. Positives: 1) She was tested before admission & now work w/ class material that is at her level 2) Class size is much smaller w/ a teacher & an asst. teacher so she gets more help. 3) less homework compared to public school 4) Director and teachers are more accessible to discuss parents' issues/concerns. So far so good because we are dealing w/ less stress. I know that a standard H.S. diploma is critical for my daughter to later pursue any career path, but I also want this whole process to be less stressful.

Center Academy has been a huge benefit for my daughter. When we came to Center Academy last year my daughter was ready to quit school. Before arriving at Center Academy if she would have to write an essay, book report or just a paragraph she would come home very angry, crying and would not be able to even put one paragraph together she hated writing! I would have to drag her through her assignments or practically write them for her. After less than one year at Center Academy with their excellent and caring teachers my daughter came to me one night with a book she had actually written! Not only that it had a title page, index page and was 6 chapters long, this brought tears to my eyes that she would use her spare time to write a book and actually say she liked writing and wanted to be an auther some day! She has come so far in less than one year at Center Academy. I am just so thankful each day seeing her actaully writing and no longer angry but a happy child at school.
