Absolutely love Dover Shores! I have been so lucky to get great teachers who have pushed my child to excel. Although the school buildings are not the newest, they are set up in a manner which are safer for the children. They have an excellent swim program also!

I went to this school for all of my elementary years. I was very sad to leave. All the teachers are amazing. They were super nice and they would encourage you and care for you. Everyone would be happy to attend this school. This school is definetly a five star school.

Dover Shores Elementary is a special school, with an exceptional principal, and especially the devoted and highly personalized approach by wonderful teachers, try and get Ms. Jimenez for 3 or 4 grade, she is the best, my children have gone on to be honor students and top of their class since leaving, Great school in every respect,

I went to school here for 6 years. And I was bullied bunch of times. Dover shores kids throw garbage all of the cafiertiria. What is that I say everyday when i walk into the lunch room. I'll give it a zero if I could.

I have had repeated experiences of teachers mistreating my child and lying to me at Dover Shores. A teacher at this school has even gone so far as to share confidential information about my child. This school is also severely lacking in it's leadership department. My heart goes out to the children who attend school there and the few good teachers they may have.

If I could give zero stars I would. Teachers let children fall behind without notifying parents until report cards come out. Principal lets teachers do whatever they please. Send your kids to this school if you could care less about their futures.

My child has attended Dover Shores since Kindergarten and we were so very fortunate to have a new teacher for his beginning year. She is FANTASTIC. Dr. Hart consistently shows his care and support as do most of the faculty, staff and PTA. However, the cafe workers are disgraceful reducing children to tears or just plain ignoring them when they need help (I have witnessed). Many don't even have a minor grasp of English, which is ridiculous. In addition, there are several teachers who need to reevaluate why they are teaching at all because their attitude and actions toward elementary school children is cruel, nasty and permanently damaging. When my family moved to Dover Manor, we looked forward to my son having a great experience at Dover Shores, but the demographics have changed so much that it is now a Title I school filled with behavior issues, bullies, and severe learning deficiencies that force teachers to be police rather than instructors. It is unfair that students who are ready for the rigors and challenges of more in-depth or demanding assignments must be sidelined while a teacher's time is focused on behavioral problems or deficient intelligence.FIND A REAL DEAN!

I attended this school for all six years of elementary, and I loved it! The teachers are so awesome. They actually make it challenging while not cramming it in at once. It was sad to leave after being there for six years. By far, the best school I've been too yet. The school used to be on the edge, but ever since the new principal (Dr. Hart) came, it deals with problems much better. Always a falcon! Class of 2009!
