Administration is always very responsive quick to take action this school is one of the most comforting school I have ever been part of. The principal and the dean will follow up with concerns. Safety it not an issue police presence is always known.

After much deliberation we joined this school and enrolled in the IB Program. I will say the instructional classroom teachers were well educated, professional, and seemed to manage their classrooms well. Interaction with administration at the grade level and school level was positive. However, the population of students was a negative experience. Our student was bullied and though each situation was handled, it was systemic throughout the our experience. We were told when information gathering about IB that IB students are always separate from the other kids. This was not true. There are grade-level buildings that all children share. Our student had many negative interactions in the hallway and cafeteria with other children. The campus itself is bare and there is profane graffiti in the bathrooms that has not been well covered. I would strongly encourage any parent to consider another program as the educational aspect of the IB program is good but the social environment is very poor which is a critical element of adolescent health.

If possible I would give it a below ZERO! the eight grade counselor has no clue on what he is doing, and this is horrible these kids are supposed to be ready for high school and they are quick to fail them without getting them the help that they need to succeed! If you are thinking of putting tour child in this school please be careful!

My child was bullied non stop! He was supposed to be kept safe at school, in his IB program. Bunch of animals there.

Horrible school! Full of bullies and teachers that don't do anything to stop it. Lots of racism as well. My son is white and is targeted everyday. I took him out of this poor excuse for a school. Most unsafe school in a bad area. Thank God he's out of there!

my name is cierra montoya now i don't have any programs but i do want to tell you how much jackson means to me. some teachers have asked me questions like 'do i love school' well i'm gonna say 'yes' and [omg] the teachers and Administrators are so nice . . 'i am planning on going to be an Administrators' at jackson. most people would say being a Administrator is to hard and stressful but i see it as a chance to educate kids and make them to want to learn and say 'i can do this and that i'll get to my goal this way'. where every student every day strives for success go jaguars!!

It is a fantastic school...I am an IB student entering the 8th grade and I think that the AVID and IB Programmes work well together and they are hand in hand programmes...I have had a very enjoyable experience at JMS and am a proud Jackson Jaguar.

Okay, as an I.B. Student I do not like this school At ALL.... This school is an I.B school and lets everyone know but the teachers are not the worst I just feel that they can be better , they don't show enough effort as it pertains to helping the kids learn and this school is not just for I.B. we have what they are referred to as "the regular kids" in this school and everyone acts like they are not important and they don't matter because its an I.B. school and this is not a bias statement because I am a I.B. student .

Okay, I get that it is in a bad neihborhood. It still is one of the best schools in orange county. I am an I.B. student at jackson and the teachers are AMAZING. The school provides busses for the I.B. students. And depending on your school your districted for, you may have like me, dodged a bullet.

First, of all its very easy to find faults in a school and discipline begins at home. As parents we need to realize that those teachers are there to teach if we had more control over our kid, they won't face a lot of problems and teachers wont waist time correcting our kids. They will have more time to teach. Stonewall Jackson is a great school with wonderful staff and a SUPER PRINCIPAL that cares about his staff and students, Has a parents i stand behind the Principal and staff. Our child is in the IB program and he is getting what he needs to get. Some kids go to school to be clowns and waist their and the teachers time. let us stp playing the blame game and know when you go to school is to learn. It doesn't matter what neighborhood the school is located in.

I attended this school in 2009-2010 for 6th grade, and I asked my mom to take my out as soon as we could. This school was ghetto. Bad kids, bad neighborhood, and much more. Luckily, I came from Dover Shores Elementary so I didn't live there. If any parents are moving to Orlando, Howard or Conway middle are much better. I transferred to Howard Middle for 7th and 8th grade, and loved it much more.
