A wonderful welcoming and diverse community that is unique in Newton. Families are friendly and kind and welcoming. Very lovely.

The staff at this school is inconsistent at best. Staff turnover is frequent, which impacts the sense of community between Principal, staff and parents. Much of the parent community also comes across as an overly arrogant presence at the school - surprising since the school is in one of the most modest sections of Newton. Lessons in character are non-existent at this school and kids are allowed to treat each other poorly with no repercussions. Other than these issues, the curriculum is the same as the other Newton schools, so the academics are probably consistent with the other Newton elem. schools. I'd pick a different elem. district, though.

Williams is an absolute treasure! The community feel, warm and loving environment, and skilled and caring staff make it such a wonderful place for kids to learn. The new principal is a welcome breath of fresh air--a vibrant, thoughtful, and warm leader who has already made a wonderful school even better. The school is diverse and there is good family involvement. We are fortunate to be raising our kids here!

teachers cannot attract children, they have some plans and restriction that don't make sense. some of children are so special to them the management pays too much attention to budget spending than anything else they rarely ask us to involve in their program, they just have some parents in advance
