My children have attended St. Mikes since PreK. The school joined The Catholic Academy of Sussex County 2 yrs ago. Since then, the Academy has integrated the 8th gr classes from 4 catholic elementary schools into a separate wing at Pope John XXIII H,S. Pope John heads the Academy; St. Mikes, Rev Brown, St. Joes & Immaculate Conception are all part of this Academy. The concept is great, because it gives the students an opportunity to experience the rigors of HS without negatively impacting their GPA. They get a preview of how to move about the classes without having to crisscross the entire campus and they get to meet many of the students they will be going to HS with. By attending an Academy school, students will automatically be accepted into Pope John for HS. I have a child who will be attending the 8th grade program this fall & we are excited to see how the year pans out. The small school environment has been a wonderful experience. The teachers know each child; there is a real sense of family. Mr.Jackson, the Principal, works tirelessly to make sure St.Mikes has every technological advancement available. We love SMS & are blessed to able to send our children to this school!!!

We love St. Mikes! We first considered local public schools (I grew up in the area), then moved on to local private, searching for the best fit for our child. The warm family atmosphere and sense of community drew us in, the high level of education, (Spanish language starts in Pre-K!) Ipad program, robotics, mobile skype, advanced classes - made our decision easy. Honestly, tuition was much lower than I expected. If you want more for your kids, you should consider St. Michael School. (FYI - I am not Catholic).
