After a year-and-a-half of home-schooling, in a hotel room, our son took to kindergarten like a bee to nectar, hah; the school is sunny, clean, safe, and well-organized; his teacher is a bright, happy, healthy, knowledgeable woman who manages to balance all of the rigorous requirements of a grade school teacher with a true love for children and for teaching and learning; our son is happy, loves school and is learning voraciously, "he's a sponge," to quote his teacher at our last parent-teacher meeting. Truly, what more could one ask? Well . . . heh, the mores are a little parochial, as Niche puts it: "Budd Lake [] residents tend to lean conservative," which cramps multi-cultural, global citizens, and, ah, the lunch menu reads like a bar menu, but hey, they probably wouldn't move too many frog's legs, chicken feet, or pigs' skin jellies even if they tried. Perhaps because of the pandemic, and recent upsurge of school attacks, the school seems a little hermetically sealed to outside influence, and a pretzel sale and Halloween parade don't really open the place up to outside-parental input, but most conservative-leaning parents probably like it that way and that, my dears is called democracy.

This is a great school. Caring teachers and administration. I am shocked by Great Schools rating metrics. This school system as a whole consistently scores good/higher than the national average but is given a 2 for student progress??? Check out "NICHE". com for school ratings. Mount Olive school district is an A+. I have raised 4 children in Mount Olive. This school system has produced academically prepared and bright students who are in are engaged and attending good colleges and universities....In fact they are flourishing. PS> If your child has learning differences this an amazing, helpful district to have your child at.

the school has forgotten to put my child on the school bus several times. There is some miscommunication or disorganization.

It seems the schools focus is on classifying as many children with learning disabilities as possible. The teachers bullied me and gave ultimatium to signed forms to agree for testing to classify my child with a learning disabilities or they would fail him out of the school. They never explain why they felt this is necessay just that my child just isn't getting it. The teachers keep talking in circles but cant make it clear to me what is the issue. When I suggested to get my own private evaluation done they tried to discourage it. They claim I'm not allowed to get my own private evaluation because they are doing the evaluation. None of it makes sense and its sad they are putting my child through this circus.

Well... To begin with it is and amazing school for students academically challenged, as well as just regular children ready to learn. It appreciates students abilities towards learning and making new discoveries every day. Tinc Road to me is like a second home and to others as well. Teaching is not a skill, it is a chance to interact with your students and let their imagination run wild. We feel as if our teachers are family to us, family laugh together, play together, and discover things out of this world together. Tinc Road Elementary is a community made up of students and families working together one step at a time to change students points of view to learning, having fun, and making more and more friends to connect and share ideas with.
