This is a great school. They care about the kids and the community is very safe. The superintendent is doing a great job!

My children have done very well so far at VRS. The teacher really care about the kids and helping them to not only learn and grow academically but also socially and emotionally. The administration is doing an amazing job of supporting the school and the community needs as well

The dynamic new administration team of Mr. Timothy R. Nicinski, Superintendent and Mr. Steven Hagemann, Principal has already established a pathway toward a bright future for Valley Road School!

This school has a lot to do before it can come up to meet minimum standards in the NJ Education levels. They are cutting the arts. They have had a change in staff year after year without any good results. Teachers and children are leaving the district in droves. If you have a child that needs any help or a child that wants any extra activities don't send them here. The only reason this place survives if because of the few good staff, teachers and parents that actually care about the children. Most of the teachers only care about teaching to the NJASK tests.

This School is only satisfactory if you have a cookie cutter kid who is nothing more than a robot. They only teach to pass standardaized tests, and it's just a shame. There are some good teachers who truly care, but they are far outumbered. It is a shame.

The school is Excellent!! They always put the children first! I had two kids in the school, one has since moved on to Lenape where she is always on the honor roll. The other also honor roll at Valley Road! Keep up the good work!!

Not sure what planet the April 28th person who commented is from, but the south is still the loweest rank in the nation! NJ was voted best in country in 9 out of 20 categories last year. I think that person may just have a personal issue with one or two of the newer teachers. My experience is Stanhope has been excellent to its students with its staff often putting themselves last. Keep up the good work teachers!

This school was once a great school. I have had 2 older children graduate from this school and 1 in 7th grade now. The quality of the teachers and faculty over the years has diminished severely. It seems that they find a way to rid themselves of the good teachers and keep hiring the ones that are only interested in the money and the benefits. I believe that they all need to look around them including the Super and Principle and their staffs and remember who this school is for. The Children are all suffering here because of all the bureaucratic garbage that goes on. The South have #1 Rated Schools because they are all for the kids and education. The North is all about the money! That's a shame.
